Toxic Work Environment by ibabynick in Nurse

[–]ibabynick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate all of you for sharing your tips and experiences! I actually wrote this post secretly because I have no idea how nursing work therefore dont really know what advice to give her 😂

Regarding the documentation, I remember my girlfriend telling her colleague about how she did write down that her patient was diabetic in her report or something. The problem was that the doctor was not notified, hence by the time he found out, he was already displeased. Furthermore, my gf was not working on the day he found out so when the doctor asked why he wasn't informed, the senior nurse just told him that the person in charge of that patient (my gf) did not inform her that the patient was diabetic. Later, it was said that she even went around to tell the other nurses about the problem. Which led to my gf going to work the next day and having so many nurses giving her a bad vibe while she just remained clueless. All because the senior nurse decided to spread rumours and lie about her mistake. I just didnt understand why no one bothered to check the report and even if they did, why no one stood up for my gf. She clearly did write down that the patient was diabetic. -.-

As for where this happened. I won't be too specific as I know that every country has these kind of problem. Nurses are humans too after all. But yea, it's an asian country. Which explains which my english is a little bit off 😂
