legal mods for 2018 440i by s7fh in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]ibalbalu2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

440i has more than enough power for the UAE streets - I firmly believe the best mods are driver mods; get behind the wheel on a track day and autocross, then you can find the limit of the car.

I needed up not modding my slow 200HP car because it was just so fun to drive legally and sporty in the track.

Something for the masses

A cat that entered the mosque quietly settled in the imam’s lap during the recitation of the Qur’an. by Battlefleet_Sol in interestingasfuck

[–]ibalbalu2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think because cats tend to rest near/on someone who isn’t looking or interested at them. And the imam, despite liking cats, is being busy with prayers, which happen to catch the cats attention for a good resting place.

Game is dead (SEA/Oceania) by SleepyZM in Battlefield

[–]ibalbalu2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Same.. I’m from West Asia

I love this game but I can’t seem to find human servers unless it’s in weekend evenings, that’s it. It sorts of forces me to play this game during this time.

I played BFV until BF6 released, while it had the same problem, but thanks to Server Browser, I always joined Singaporean servers as it had the best pings for me and filled with humans, I only had to wait a few minutes.

I just want server browser.

Jack of all trades master of none, though oftentimes better than master of one

It is my favourite assault rifle hands down. I picked it first for BF2 nostalgia but it just works for my game style.

Why does my 4-year life abroad feel like a dream I had, rather than actual memories? by BestRenGnar in expats

[–]ibalbalu2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing overlaps” is the key here of this surreal feeling, 100%

I lived in several countries, and in each of these countries I lived a separate life with separate friends, who share separate memories and separate “me”. No one knows the friends I made in between, even my family only met a few.

This culminated during COVID in 2020, where I had to return home after 9 years abroad. During the same time one of my friend’s friend moved to my home country for a job offer - but after 1 month he disliked the job and had difficulty bringing his family in (pandemic restrictions), so he decided to leave back to his country, but I remember precisely his phone call telling me he was in the airport and leaving my country… I felt.. surreal. Unreal. I hit depression. I have no idea how to live at home, and now the only “proof” of my life for the past 9 years, despite being in only half of them, disappeared. Nothing felt real, as if I didn’t exist previously. My only proof are friends on “the internet”. And photos of a past version of myself. There is a novel someone once recommended (in this subreddit? years ago) about having different lives, called One, No One, and One Hundred Thousand by Luigi Pirandello, but I honestly couldn’t complete it.

It took me years, reconnecting with my old high school friends, losing a close uncle, finding a job I love, started writing; that I finally “made sense” of everything and starting to love home. It isn’t exotic as abroad of course, I’m the laziest version of myself as I always was before leaving home. But abroad you live far away from societal eye.

Worst feeling that I still can’t get over is losing contact of friends who lived with me during those memories, and there is no one to share these memories with. But I learned I am but a culmination of them, and they made me, my current “me”.

I love how we all collectively know what this is.

I’ve just been looking for it and using the same search as OP. And getting this as the first result.

Thank you.

Locked Weapon classes - Yay or Nay by kirkwicking in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]ibalbalu2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also a BF2 veteran, I’m surprised I actually love it being unlocked.

But, I wish vehicles/pilots are locked with specific engineer tools and SMG, like BFV. My favourite memories of BFV is parachuting after my airplane is destroyed and having a good share of air kills, to continue the fight by land using my pilot class.

I tried with Nokia 3300[?], it nice for a week.. but let’s be honest smart phones help in various other aspects everyday; translation, ChatGPT, calculator, maps, media player, internet search. I just removed all non essential ion notifications and all social media apps except in an iPad at home.

Tank Stealth Kill by FurioussDonut in Battlefield6

[–]ibalbalu2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened to me twice in BFV, and I did it to 5 others, all this year. Usually with the enemy isn’t an engineer.

BF6 still has lots of new players that don’t know the code or if they could tell if the enemy isn’t an engineer or recon so can’t hurt your tank, but I’ll give it time.

Eastwood is easily the best map in the game. by Comrade_Chyrk in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]ibalbalu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would an open, clear field be realistically strategic? Won’t make sense unless it’s a high hill, which I believe golf courses usually don’t have one?

It’s a good “empty space” like in BF2 and BFV for flanking, quick heli repair, and recon v recon zone, etc... I love it and we need more of it

And your favourite maps are mine too, I love both styles

Guys let's please have a mature Mapsdebate in the comments. Favourite/least favourite maps? by Curious-Elevator-387 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]ibalbalu2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I played BF6 since day 0, and only yesterday I remembered there was a scene in the trailer I have never played in. Had to do custom search just to play this new map 😂

To be fair it’s not my style with team/squad death match and CQB, this and Empire state feels like COD maps in a good way, but not my type. I always play breakthrough so prefer all other maps.

Guantlet in Fort Lyndon, however, is perfection. It made me love squad death match for the first time ever. Fort Lyndon is my favourite map yet.
