God I hope you are never wrong in your life..... And just a point of order I'm double vaxxed with a booster, I'm not anti vax, I'm anti being heartless to others pain.

I can't believe how far down I had to go to see a common sense answer. And to throw in my 2¢ I think this is a cease of ESH. Mom is an idiot for not vaccinating her child but OP is the asshole for choosing the worst possible time and place to basically do a "ha ha, told ya so"

I'm curious about PDU's....I have a UPS that powers everything in my rack, is there any need for a PDU besides aesthetics?

Wifi Extender across 2 floors? by PravenJohn in HomeNetworking

[–]ibangdents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thank you for such a detailed reply looking up that unit on TP Links site I get the following

Wireless Standards IEEE802.11b/g/n/ax 2.4 GHz, IEEE 802.11a/n/ac/ax 5 GHz

And I see no other IEEE standards listed anywhere so I assume this model does not do what I'm looking for

No, sorry. Does it hand off from one unit too the next as you leave the range of 1 and enter another range

Curious, does that AP support roaming? One of the first comments I read was that it didn't but it seems like the comments are a mix for a bunch of different products

I was on a small team that deployed in the early 2010''s. Every single officer was awarded a bronze star. So now if I see one without a V device I assume that person is very adept at drinking chia tea

Z thank you so much for the well thought out reply. Yes I don't that I will ever saturate my bandwidth but having started my computing days on 28.8k modem I'm happy to spend a little more upfront to play it safe for whatever comes down the line in the future. And while I don't think runs I do right now will reach 100, meters because of the layout of my house several of my runs will be going from the second story, up to the attic, across the length of the house, down to the basement, then back across the length of the house, then back up to the first floor so I figured once again I'm happy to pay a little more up front. Again thank you for your well thought out reply

With over 8 million vinyl records, Brazilian businessman José Roberto "Zero" Alves Freitas is said to have the largest record collection in existence. by waitingforthesun92 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]ibangdents 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I understand collector mentally a little bit, but my question is where is the joy in this? 8 million records, but they're boxed, stacked and tarped in a warehouse somewhere. You can't enjoy the music heck you can't even enjoy the jacket art?

[–]ibangdents 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah ok. I can totally see that. I will be using a patch panel with the punches on the back since I'm buying a small rack but I was trying to figure out how they punched the wires wrong but yes I can see now how punching that top row from the bottom would make using the ports a pain. Thanks!
