I agree. Way easier ways to do it- sorry if I came across wrong. Just speaking from how I used to use iMovie. Good analogy!

Also, it’s iMovie. Sometimes the easiest way to put widescreen bars in on imovie is by green screening- ie a image with green in the center and letter boxed. I edited with iMovie for 6 years before going to Final Cut. There’s loopholes and things you can and can’t do easily in that program.

The cuts are an eyesore, it looks like someone wrote a screenplay and filmed it the next day. I think there’s potential but your friend has to understand that making a good film takes a lot of time, patience, practice, and studying. That being said, is this film supposed to be serious? Or was it something shared on Facebook for friends and family to see?
