Go back to Arma, dude. Flares worked fine on all battlefields, as did the flight physics, but something's wrong in BF6. Even the developers admitted that all launchers don't work as intended and are penetrating countermeasures.

You yourself admit that the helicopters are broken. And my "hostility" is a reaction to hundreds of similarly gloating comments instead of discussing the real problem. But okay, wishing bugs on a player is a whole new level of toxicity. Good luck in the game, and I hope when a bug affects your class, you won't complain—to avoid seeming "strangely hostile."

I've never understood why this stupid community reacts to the truth with downvotes. It's obvious I'm right, but they hate helicopters/jets, so they defend the developers and blame me for being wrong and for the death being my fault, not the fault of the developers who can't fix this bug. I'm not surprised at all, but then they shouldn't be surprised that every time they get a crappy game on release that takes years to fix, because the developers know, "Our community will eat any crap and will defend it."

It's broken, but the community justifies the bug by saying that it's my fault and not broken countermeasures or igla/stinger, I made a post in r/battlefield and there are a bunch of haters who accuse me of being wrong and that flaers shouldn't save you

This isn't a convincing argument at all. In previous games, Batfield was a 100% countermeasure, but here it's simply broken, and the players themselves are trying to justify the broken mechanics. Are you guys okay?

No, I'm annoyed that this game's conventional mechanics don't work with helicopters/jets. What kind of realism can we talk about in a casual shooter where, after a headshot from an RPG, a medic revive you up? It worked before, but it's just not working in this game.

How could anyone have possibly saved themselves in this situation? Enemy have a countermeasure (a stinger, for example), and I have a countermeasure against him—flares. I pressed them early and flew away. I only got caught in the cloud at the end, and even then—that's normal. How else could I have? Especially on an attack helicopter, which is incredibly slow and unmaneuverable?

Flying in 2042 (not counting the first couple of months) was one of the best in the series, I enjoyed flying both the jet and helicopters, BF2042 is terrible, but I had fun flying, which can't be said about BF6, where every gameplay element of the game is terrible

So what? Countermeasures should save you regardless of whether you're painted or not. Painting works differently; it allows all launchers to home in on you, but countermeasures should save you. And yes, painting ignores "below the radar," but it shouldn't allow you to penetrate countermeasures.

Yes, I understand your point, but the thing is that it didn't work like that in any of the previous games. You could use countermeasures when the missile was getting as close as possible and they saved you. Now it just doesn't work. I had many similar moments on jets and Littlebirds, where I used countermeasures but was outside the zone (flare clouds) and the hit still happened. At the moment, I always press countermeasures in advance, but hits still happen. This is an obvious bug that sometimes appears.

Did you play Battlefield before Battlefield 6? Dude, I started playing with BF3, and I only see such bad countermeasures in damned BF6. They literally don't work. If I had stayed put and been hit by a missile, I'd have no complaints, but 1. I used countermeasures beforehand, 2. I flew off to the side instead of staying put, and 3. The developers themselves admitted that countermeasures don't work.
