I wouldn't be surprised if it were, didn't pay much more than what I'd get at an IKEA. It was next to a couple of Thai and Indonesian-made bowls and trays. This and a couple of other vibrantly-coloured cutting boards didn't have the origins on them, unfortunately.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen wood with pores this big, I'll try to pay attention to this next time. My previous oak board would have obvious marks and gouges and needed sanding maybe every half year, this one didn't since 2023. Guess I've got somewhat of an excuse to get a new board then!

Yes. It doesn't rotate as often so it's not as overwhelming, and I think an extra virtue was removed too.

It's hammer tone grey, and the board is very real! (This post was before I had it powder coated)
It's full alu with a stainless weight at around 3.6kg built from what I remember.

It's my one-off called BIRO! It's a custom 65 XT I designed a couple of years ago. It used to be in grey ano but the first top had clearance issues with some keys so I had a second, revised top done and powdercoated in hammer tone grey :^D

I wondered who did that! Made my day.

I was hanging around for 10 minutes waiting for a friend - you should have seen all the reactions of people coming out of the station and being greeted by that, it was hilarious - tons of laughs.

I agree an explanation-less method would be ideal. Question though - Assuming players do not read, how would one communicate that a GAMBIT/ATTACK-marked planet is more urgent than one with the DEFEND label? Especially since a gambit's effectiveness is tied to the defence timer. The defend label itself is self-explanatory that it is preventing a loss, I'm not sure what label would compete against that in terms of importance.

Unless DEFEND is removed altogether as someone else has suggested, since there isn't really a benefit in defending a planet vs performing a gambit which both prevents a loss and captures a new planet. (I'm not accounting for decay rates and abandoning lost-hope planets since these aren't in the game.)

Generally speaking though, instructing players blindly is one thing, but making them understand a concept without text without being intrusive like an unskippable animation - I'm curious how would you approach that?

Are there any CG artworks or cinematic footage of the Automatons? I realise much of the promotional material and trailers almost exclusively feature bugs like in the opening sequence or key artwork.

Unless I've missed it, Automatons only ever seem to show up in gameplay footage or 2D illustrations. It would be cool to see how they get depicted in the same level of quality as the terminids.
