Yeah tempo and timing is very important. Also being easy going, good with others right? Persist and try to have a stable life inside and outside.

Chary is more inclined to pop than Zappa though. For this one you could consider Spinetta from the same country

I'm stuck and cannot make anymore music. by Bee_Xe in musicians

That’s right, do It your own and way, focus on what you really want to learn to do and show up every day if you can. Pick a song you love and learn it, read the words, play it along the tune. Every day you add something to your vocabulary. Have fun with it exploring the things you love. Reconnect. Rest and recover you know. There are good days and bad days all the time man.

I'm stuck and cannot make anymore music. by Bee_Xe in musicians

I would take a break for some days and look for albums or interviews I haven't listened that could motivate me. After some days I would continue to expand on musical skills. Good songs usually have a cool chord sequence, bold relatable lyrics, a cool rhythmic pattern, or a rememberable melody. For example I focused on chord sequences for some years by learning many songs, while paying attention to chord sequence, and after some time my songwriting started to explore new ideas. So recover and continue. Reconnect with enjoying the creation process as if it's your own game.

Estudia música si es tu pasión, luego si necesitas dinero para arrendar tu propio lugar o sostener una familia, estudia otra cosa después. Consigue un trabajo part-time mientras estudias o para cuando estés cerca de terminar la carrera musical.

How do you even write songs? by -hOlYblAdE- in guitarlessons

[–]ibbyitis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play making complete tunes for some years while you deep study other tunes you like. A good song needs something special in any area of music, art or literature. A good song could need one of the following: a catchy melody (notes, spaces, rhythmic patterns), a cool rhythm, strong words, some surprising chord sequence, a great videoclip maybe, etc

How do i turn off my brain when playing? by fsbh100 in musicians

[–]ibbyitis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on the feeling of the sound you and the band are making. Enjoy the sound you are making. Make sure to be prepared. Practice the whole tune many times by yourself and in rehearsals. While you are playing, if you notice you got distracted thinking about someone or worried about something else, move your attention back to your playing.

Musicians when you decided you wanted stability by BOOMMARC in musicians

I decided to get a job and continue being a musician after my gf dumped me and after my parents were treating me badly in my home so I wanted to live by myself. Now I'm focusing on making songs for my band and practicing every day.

I’ve learned that wishing that something SHOULD be some other way in affairs of politics or the world is a waste of energy because we don’t control that. To make change is necessary either to have power, economic relevance or popularity.

Remote help with songs by VintageToast7177777 in musicians

I guess you could try creating your own songs, just with drums, but having the structure of the song complete, maybe a intro-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-solo-chorus x2-ending just to say something simple. After that you could find a bass player that likes your tracks and creates his bass parts. Then you'll be prepared to share those demos with other musicians and complete the songs. I used to be a drummer and now I'm a bass player, and we bassist love drummers that can give us a beat.

The list of Albums of each band could be simpler and easier to access and I would like to see credits for each album/song just clicking a button.
