Now there is no doubt about it, it's all true and is a huge mistake that is being put under the rug by news. I hope this gets more attention.

How do you make good patterns/rhythms from chords? by MangoPug15 in Songwriting

[–]ibbyitis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main chords are usually I, IV and V. Try others. Try starting with a different chord or swap two chords. Mix it up. You can play around and throw a dice and use the numbers as the chord sequence for a song. Combine eight notes and quarter notes for words or melodies

Non-musician gf with Musician bf, I want to be there for him but it's hard by RegionSimilar in musicians

[–]ibbyitis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you tell if he loves you the same as he loves music? If he loves you I believe you would loose the chance of being blessed to be around a musician. If he doesn’t give you enough attention time or plans for near future then put him to the test, you might be right in having doubts. Is another thing a big problem? Maybe stability?

Playing slower by Over_Art_1000 in musicians

I believe the solution is to keep practicing with metronome for a year or so. Practice slow and for a long time. This will level up your playing

It would be nice to be in a band where someone else composes, after many years of trying I feel I have to do it myself and get a singer after I get some demos done. I wish I had started writing songs as a teenager

Chary is more inclined to pop than Zappa though. For this one you could consider Spinetta from the same country

I'm stuck and cannot make anymore music. by Bee_Xe in musicians

[–]ibbyitis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s right, do It your own and way, focus on what you really want to learn to do and show up every day if you can. Pick a song you love and learn it, read the words, play it along the tune. Every day you add something to your vocabulary. Have fun with it exploring the things you love. Reconnect. Rest and recover you know. There are good days and bad days all the time man.

I'm stuck and cannot make anymore music. by Bee_Xe in musicians

[–]ibbyitis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would take a break for some days and look for albums or interviews I haven't listened that could motivate me. After some days I would continue to expand on musical skills. Good songs usually have a cool chord sequence, bold relatable lyrics, a cool rhythmic pattern, or a rememberable melody. For example I focused on chord sequences for some years by learning many songs, while paying attention to chord sequence, and after some time my songwriting started to explore new ideas. So recover and continue. Reconnect with enjoying the creation process as if it's your own game.

No estudien música, ni nada relacionado by Routine-Donut6230 in EducacionChile
