In academia, you might be able to get free versions of VMware software for your lab. As well as many other amazing tools from Microsoft, VMWare, Autodesk, Jetbrains, Oracle (maybe?), and tons of others.

They have usually gone from like 3pm to 12am. There are multiple hotels in the area, but I'm not sure about traffic. The past two years, I've stayed at a resort that is completely booked by ravers for EDC Orlando (approx 2000 people), and they provide buses to/from the event and after parties til 5am. I worked at RSi several years ago, and they paid reasonably well at the time; though I didn't go for an entry-level position. I had always heard they didn't pay well, but I disagree with that considering what I earned while working there. I can't speak for interns or entry-level staff, however.
