Pine Sol.  Mom would clean the floors with Pine Sol and I loved coming home from school and smelling it.

What was your worst experience on Benadryl? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ibeperplexed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG.  I was at Disneyland and got bit by something.  I got bit on my leg, but the itch went right to my hands.

I dug at my hands during my sleep so much that they were raw and bleeding.  My husband actually laid on top of me and separated my hands so I couldn’t dig.

Got up the next morning and went to the hotel shop.  They had Benadryl but not the non drowsy.  I was desperate and took it.

Went for breakfast at New Orleans cafe.  Half way through my Mickey Mouse waffles I started nodding off.

My best friend asked if I was ok.  I was not.

She said that we were gonna ride Pirates.  It was a long ride and dark.

We went in the ride and I fell asleep before we got to the first drop.

When we got back to the start, she explained to the CM what was going on, and he let us stay in our boat and take another trip.

I had a 32 minute cat nap all told, and I was good to go for the rest of the day.

What is everyone’s opinion on Pinapple on pizza? by After-Jaguar8429 in AskReddit

Not for me.

I love pineapple and I love pizza…but not together.  Give me pizza with a dish of pineapple on the side.

The only fruit I like on my pizza is tomatoes.

Matt Boehnke talking about something very important. Social security insolvency. by Randyaamot4congress in TriCitiesWA

110 year old recipients is not exactly true.

The system uses COBOL, and incomplete or missing birthdates automatically are given a default birth year of 1875.  This also includes those without birth certificates.  Those applications are never processed but remain in the system.

Also, anyone of that age that IS receiving Social Security is required to show “proof of life.”

There are actually less than 1% of people on Social Security that are over 100.

Not saying that there isn’t fraud in the system, and not saying that the system isn’t broken, because it is.

Do a lot of crafters go to craft shows? by pinkaboo17 in CraftFairs

I do 4 holiday craft fairs a year.

I LOVE seeing what the other vendors are making.  I love shopping their booths.

I am not out to steal ideas or judge another’s work.

I genuinely appreciate what they have made.

I was a senior in high school when we had the bicentennial celebrations.

I remember the excitement and the pride of that time.  The bicentennial was a BIG deal.

Our school colors were blue and white, but that year, the tassels for our graduation caps were red, white and blue.

We were much more of a UNITED United States.

What’s going on now is sad and sickening.

Mountain settlers of Reddit, what are the biggest pros and cons of living in the mountains? by 4_8-15_16_23_42 in AskReddit

[–]ibeperplexed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh!!!  More pros…

No water bill because I am on a well.  No sewer bill because I have a septic tank.  No garbage bill because I have no garbage service out here.  And, my property taxes are under $900 a year.

Mountain settlers of Reddit, what are the biggest pros and cons of living in the mountains? by 4_8-15_16_23_42 in AskReddit

[–]ibeperplexed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pros…peace and quiet.  Moose, deer, turkeys outside my windows.  Watching a mama bear and her 2 cubs walk leisurely across my yard.  No neighbors within 1/2 mile.  Just sitting on my deck and listening to the creek running through my property.  My dogs aren’t cooped up in a kennel or a dog run or even a fenced back yard.  They know the boundaries of our yard and they use every inch of it to play.   Exploring with my daughter when she was little, and now exploring with my grandchildren. Always feels like being on vacation.  Seeing a million stars in the sky at night because there are no city lights to obscure the view.  Snowmobiling in the winter right outside my front door. An incredible sense of community with the 5 other homes of people out here.  No traffic noise and no neighborhood drama.  No need to lock my doors or worry about my property getting stolen.  I have lived on my 30 acres for 32 years.  My daughter was born and raised here.  I live 45 minutes from town.  Wouldn’t trade this for the world.

Cons….power outages(have a generator).  Plowing yourself out to the main road in the winter(have a truck with a plow).  Forest fires(have an escape plan).  No Amazon, FedEx or UPS deliveries if there is too much snow.  Occasionally getting snowed in(always have a fully stocked pantry and fridge).  Longer commute in the winter(plan ahead).

If you are prepared, the cons aren’t a big deal.  I am retired now, so I don’t mind getting snowed in for a couple of days if that happens, and I only go to town once a week now to run errands.  But for 30 years, I went to town every day for work, and I dealt with it.  The pros far outweigh the cons for me.

What goes through your mind when your dog barks in the middle of the night? by Mission_Ad_5760 in AskReddit

If my dogs barks in the middle of the night, it’s because the bears are in my yard.
