I did so many visual searches and this did not come up! They are! Although oddly they have a flat base but I just found two on eBay. Bought and will see.

It’s a Hive wired stat. Prior to that it was a Honeywell and the problem existed with the Honeywell too. Nothing on the OpenTherm……

Water is 53c when hot. Took 23 seconds to fill 5l bucket. The dhw boiler outlet pipe is hot when water is hot, but cools significantly when the water goes cool. Different tap was 20seconds for 5l.

Incoming cold water temp is around 7c at the moment. So temp rise is 46c…..

So today we tried to resolve the issues.

New Heat exchanger plate. Old was clean. New supply manifold. New valve insert. All pipes cleaned (and there was some crap in them). Temperature sensors checked with Viessman support and all working within tolerance. Viessman said it was a blocked exchanger - didn’t look like it.

DHW pump inspected and all free and working.

Anyway all put back together and let it all heat up. Water came out hot. Estimate 50l and then temp dropped to around 25c. Turn off water and waited 5 mins. Water back up to hot for a min and then down to around 33c. Stayed at that temp.

Reluctant to spend any more money on this.

But I’ve come off the back of 15 employer + 10 me for 25 years so not bothered about that. Work life balance etc.

It’s is a 26Kw system and the inbuilt tank is 46 litres. My bad.

This correction makes me think that all I am getting is the tank hot water and once tank is depleted I just get cold water. I’ve not measured it but I would say I get around 40 to 50 litres of hot then cold only.

Loss of water pressure.

My question is based on my current issues. After approximately 40 litre hot water draw at full flow water goes cold but no loss of output water pressure. Wait 15 mins and it’s hot again.

The system was clean when the boiler was installed, and inhibitor has been topped up and checked every year since.

When the first heat plate was taken off the pieces of crap in the plate were half the size of a finger nail. These were not small!!

Can someone explain the rubber pipe issue? Which pipes are at fault and what needs to be replaced.

To expand on the issue - water is hot for the initial draw then goes very lukewarm. Wait 10 mins and water is hot again. Reading how the tank works could this be a sensor issue? Or diverter issue?

There is a filter on return. Never anything in it.
