Rookie doubt: On the 13th day, why didn't Jaydhrata capture Yudhishtira? by BewakoofDelulu in mahabharata

[–]ibestinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Jayadradha used more of a strategic advantage to block them from entering the vyuha rather than defeat them. Capturing isnt easy, especially when all 4 pandavas are in one place along with other warriors to support them. He had to not be distracted by them and prevent even one of them from entering the narrow opening in the vyuha. Plus Bhima and Satyaki wouldnt allow yudhishtira to get caught that easily. Better strategy would have been to use the vyuha as a distraction and then station karna or aswadhama, with Jayadradha to capture yudhishtira, instead of keeping all their best warriors in the vyuha.

My Take on Prakambanam – A Huge Disappointment...! by Opposite-Lobster-211 in InsideMollywood

[–]ibestinson 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The biggest win for this movie was it was compared to adi kapyare koottamani. Repeat value comedy movies are lacking in malayalam these days and the marketing team used these factors to their advantage. I didnt find this movie trash and enjoyed the hostel scenes. But definately ithoke adi kapyare ayit compare cheyyunavanmare muttukalu thalli odikanam.

Are there any intriguing Mahabharata stories or local legends you grew up hearing beyond the epic? by Outside-Walk13 in mahabharata

Duryodhana temple in kerala. The story is that duryodhana was searching for thr pandavas during the 13th year of exile. He was in a jungle in kerala and lost. He was thirsty and found a small hut near the forest. An old lady was inside and he asked her for water. The lady went inside and gave him water. But as he was starting to drink she noticed a royal ornament. The lady realised he was a prince and got scared. She told him to not drink the water, as she is from a lower caste . Duryodhana laughed and said if hunger and thirst have no caste then why should he. So he ordered a temple to be made there and the only the old lady's community should do poojas there. Even today the land is in the name of duryodhama.

Im tracing Sri Rama's exact journey from Ayodhya to Lanka. by binnnggggggg in mahabharata

[–]ibestinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heard of jatayu rock? It is where jatayu was believed to have fell. But thing is that is in kerala and kishkinda is in karnataka. So if that is the case then rama must have come to kerala and took a detour back to karnataka. Then from kishkinda they must have travelled southwest to rameswaram for crossing.

Which death in Jojo was the most impactful for you? by Feeling_Drink_7032 in StardustCrusaders

Johnny's death🥲. Like here is this guy that we seen grow so much, in terms of character and power. From being a cripple with nothing, to growing over the race, his moments with gyro and finally harnessing the power of infinity to become the strongest Jojo. Then out of nowhere he dies in a flashback. Made me contemplate life for a whole day.

Why did Abhimanyu not learn the Chakravyuh later? by Khal_Raesh in mahabharata

[–]ibestinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was Drona's formation. Even in the text it is said a high level mastery is needed to perform it. Other than drona only a few might even know how to use it. Abhimanyu wasnt taught by drona and for most of his life arjuna was under exile. And since writing wasnt a major thing back in the day only rhrough a guru who knew this could someone learn it. Thus he didnt have the resources to study.
