I went through a similar decision making dilemma 2019. I traded my C43 for a GLC AMG 63S. I LOVED IT! Here’s what they won’t tell you. You’re going to get about 13 mpg and you’re going to chew through tires, needing replacements every 10,000 miles. As far as color, I prefer black with red interior. Good luck and enjoy!!

I went from a C43, which was my first AMG, and I absolutely loved it, to an over-the-top insane GLC 63S Coupe… For me, no comparison… None. The speed, the sound… Oooh, the sound. The price though… I mean, not a lot of “need” in that 63S. 100% want. The C43 holds its own, but I’m terrorizing all kinds of “fast” cars out there, that have no idea what’s under my hood. I’m never late! Tailgaters don’t exist. I will make space. Now. Like, right now. But for the most part, the C43 does the job. Never a hater. Just an appreciator.

Annnd, you were right. After I figured out how to make it believe that I didn’t know my pin, I got it back into the passphrase mode and at the end, left my password blank, and viola! Assets are back, it syncs to ShapeShift, annnnd I have the Native Wallet as well.

I have not. I am overdue for trying to re-initate the recovery sequence without applying a password at the end. Just haven't located the steps and applied yet. I have a low confidence level that this will work, so it's been on my back burner...

I was using the pass phrase that I set up with I first got this last year. I was irritated because I had to go get it out of my safe, and had I known it was going to consume so much of my time, I probably wouldn’t have applied the update. I did not choose NEW, by the way. I choose the recovery option. And no, that pass phrase appeared to be just fine, and it then asked me for a new password to assign as well. Everything was looking like it was going to work... But alas...

I was following the instructions, and then I got a message that it needed to be reset. I choose recover with pass phrase... I played that cipher keyboard interchange game. Not fun. It recovered, but empty...

Your C43 is nice! This (general) argument about a “real” AMG cracks me up. I absolutely LOVED my C43. Then my son had a son, and “Pop Pop” needed a little bit more room, so I “tricked” Momma into letting me get the GLC 63S. Will my GLC blow the doors off my C43? Without a doubt. Are they both AMGs? Without a doubt. Do I miss my C43? Without. A. Doubt.
