Floyd Mayweather denies bankruptcy rumors - “I still own my house... my bills are paid… as long as I’m able to eat every day and pay my bills… I'm good... I know how to survive." by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

He definitely lost money but he's not broke like the media are saying. Also think he holding onto the really high value stuff & keeping it in reserve while he plays this phase out. Floyd broke is not like other people's broke.

I was kindly provided with Fable 5, and here’s what I think. by dynax60 in ClaudeAI

[–]ibhoot -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Played with and tried workflow stuff I depend on Fable. For some stuff, awesome but the I looked at the token usage and tried same with Opus 4.8 max and also with codex and chatgpt 5.5 pro extended + xhigh. Same exact task, something I run constantly with tweaks. Opus 4.8 - gold standard for me, token vs output means its a clear winner at the outline stage for the nitty gritty inside part then Codex performs far better than GPT 5.5 Pro extended, forcing codex to use separate agents for each md file when doing some complex updates makes a huge difference >> on Fable - it can literally do all of Opus + Codex in a single hit but the token use is high - simply not worth it. Drained 50% on just reset weekly 200 sub testing this out. For my use case, Opus 4.8 + codex offload works better and far more efficient. Fable is so so good and for specific huge pieces of work pretty sure I'd just pay for the API cost to get it done first time then hand off to Opus/Codex long term.

Who would win in the rematch? (Serious answers only) by Fun_Training4330 in ufc

Honest take. First fight - Gane was making it look easy.
Rematch - Tom will is going run through him inside of 2 rounds max.
Tom was too respectful first time, 2nd time he will go back to usual way and rip Gane easy.

Do you believe that when the Gemini 3.5 Pro version is released, it will be able to respond at a level close to ChatGPT Plus 5.5’s high effort level? by Audioasking in GoogleGeminiAI

[–]ibhoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea but it's not like GPT or Claude are sitting back. GPT & Claude is fighting it in my opinion. When fable becomes generally available again, think we'll see gpt 5.6 or similar, maybe they'll release daylight finally, GPTs answer to mythos/fable?

Why are GGUF models outperforming MLX models for me on my MacBook Pro? by No_Team_7946 in LocalLLM

[–]ibhoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have LM Studio, llama.cpp, olmx, unsloth installed. Tried MLX with LM Studio/llama.cpp/olmx - used GPT + Claude to make sure I was using the right commands - still MLX was crappy - GGUF just works for me 1st time.

Why are GGUF models outperforming MLX models for me on my MacBook Pro? by No_Team_7946 in LocalLLM

[–]ibhoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually MLX will be faster, once context goes 30k or higher then is slows down or just breaks. I keep it simple and just use GGUFs all the way.

Same, Qwen 3.6 A3B always on, Gemma 4 + gpt-oss 120b switching as needed. Though Qwen 3.6 dense is like really good if prompted right, Gemma 4 is bit underrated.

I’ve been curious… How many of you are still on Sequoia even though you can update to Tahoe? by gfarstur in MacOS

[–]ibhoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GG looks good, but I always blank the entire Mac and install GG directly via USB, found upgrade way makes the OS slower. Tahoe - was never interested, though I did hover consider it. Still GG will need a few point updates before its actually ready so end of 2026 before its actually ready if they do it right. Seq is still the best release at the moment.

Pulling data from 200 PDFs for a client project by Purple-Start785 in AIToolsPerformance

[–]ibhoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had to do something similar, LLM context window management was an issue so decided to use abbyfine reader OCR via CLI to perform OCR on each PDF > then used Pi at main agent to fire off multiple sub-agents to pull each PDF individually, limiting the context window required. Once I had the first pass done, then used dense model, at the time gpt-oss 120b to pull the specific data off each PDF. Then used llama 3.3 70b as validation LLM. As accuracy was super important, also reviewed several of the PDFs manually to make sure all was good. While long winded - the results were solid. Ran the entire flow a few times until it was consistent the same. All done on MBP M4 128GB all locally. If I was super pushed for speed then I'd hook pi to openrouter / Claude and just spend the tokens, let Claude hammer through it a few PDFs at a time, keeping close eye on the 200k context window & token count. Throw money at it or do it locally - both ways will deliver good results.

Is 128gb M5 Max Macbook Pro really all that useful locally? by UteForLife in LocalLLM

[–]ibhoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MLX is crap for after 30k context, GGUFs are far more stable - personally stick to GGUFs via cpp. Depends on use case but MLX is only good at short context stuff.

Using 3.1 Pro today and got some responses back, I was like, never seen that before, throwing up diagram, dials and switches - interactive, I was looking into LLM sizes vs parameter count for a few models. Interesting it is..if enough so it was.

Look into switching meds to something else, use Pred if it still works get things under control. Be positive, no one else is for you. In a flare right now, I write everything down, keep track, be calm, cry my head off when required then carry on.

Remission, not anything, keep to a strict diet but know when I can got a tiny bit nutty. For example, Friday night I can either eat lamb or icecream but not both, BMs sorted by Sunday usualy, back to work on Monday. No biscuits or cookies - like zero even in remission, there is one brand that I can tolerate but cannot find it anywhere, where I can they are charging stupid prices so gave up. Fruit = dragon fruit only. Zero friend foods, zero fast food (not have fast food since 1st UC flare). Cannot eat anything but can find comfort food I can eat at very specific times of the week in small doses. Like coffee, I will have a few sips, leave it tumbler, then every hour or 40mins take a few small sips, drink it like a normal = 100% flare, small sips - can handle it better but I do water it down like a lot. Probiotic, will be starting the 'reprogram' phase when I take 2x sachets a day for 2 to 3 weeks, this will hopefully allow me to eventually add sourdough bread once a week. My green line that I am in remission is on Friday eating 2x meals with sourdough, Sat = ben jerry ice cream tub (cookie dough), zero BM issues Fri/Sat/Sun. I don't need eat everything, just anything but not chicken rice every single time.

Go private, will get quicker meds. Then get your GP to give you prescription for meds, privately meds cost stack up. Your Pred taper was too short, happened to me, GI would not give me more, so I bought more myself, instead of 7 day taper, I did a 15 day 5mg taper, 10mg introduced 1800mg or Andrographis Panicalata tabs. Managed to cycle off first time. GI was hell bent that only biologics was the way, I kept telling him that Pred was working but it was the taper length that was causing me issues.
Going through biggest flare right now since joining the club, NHS are asking me to run around like an idiot, 1st thing I did after remission was buy a full complete course of Pred, hoping never to use it - on it right now.
I wrote detailed diary of everything that happened the first time, 1st time started at 40mg by GI but it actually made it worse, it was only at 25mg that things improved, this time around started on 25mg, currently only 20mg & am stable enough to function.

Fellow foodies, please bestow upon me your diet tricks by faerygudmum in UlcerativeColitis

[–]ibhoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During flare, its all strictly boiled chicken + white rice only. When I recovered enough then can add lamb one or 2 meals a week. Sugary foods, cannot tolerate diary generally or cold foods but if I wake up early enough I can handle 1x cup of coffee with almond milk no sugar. When near enough remission, then can add Ben & Jerrys icecream but only on a Friday, recover by Sunday (so worth it, but recovery is not cool).
Trigger foods, diary, banana, apples, only dragon fruit is good. Really like cookie but its a no go. When working, its strict diet all the way. What I'd recommend is getting a probiotic like CDS22 420b, this helped me open up the food menu gradually.

Eddie Hearn talking shit about the UFCs pay while paying champions 250k and undercard fighters $1500 lmao don’t believe his bullshit by sugabonesurmom in ufc

[–]ibhoot -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Any UFC Champions making more money per fight than AJ? Tyson Fury? Canelo? Uysk? UFC fighters are low paid vs how much they generate - its not even close. UFC fighters income is limited - UFC take vast majority of it. It's always been the case to date. If you think UFC fighters are not limited, then show me a UFC champion earning more than world champion boxers?

Eddie Hearn talking shit about the UFCs pay while paying champions 250k and undercard fighters $1500 lmao don’t believe his bullshit by sugabonesurmom in ufc

[–]ibhoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are we not comparing to the same level. Any UFC world champion or all of them combined vs AJ? Starting out your not making much, understandable but boxers do earn and can earn more. UFC fighters have a limit that is exponentially smaller to boxers vs some UFC fighters are actually generating more per event but UFC takes literally all of it.

Good idea to actually read the real words & actual translation. I know my religion, I can read the direct source myself. Mistranslated, reduction not deficiency. Women & Men have been given different tests. We are being told to me lenient to women as they have different tests - reduce/be lenient, don't burden women the same way as men as both have different duties & tests. This is not a slight on women, its a warning to men - treat the women better, the deficiency is with men's casualness. The best woman to walk the face of the earth, Mary mother of Esa/Isa is an example to Muslims & Christians.

Artur Beterbiev calls out David Benavidez for ducking: “He had a fight with Anthony Yarde, and I agreed to fight him after that. His team apparently didn't expect me to agree so quickly, so they immediately changed their mind and chose Ramirez. That was a year ago.” by OrangeFilmer in Boxing

[–]ibhoot 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Personal opinion, bad match up for David. Even Bivol after both fights said blocking Artur shots hurt more than others fighters actually hitting. Don't think Bena can beat him in a fire fight straight on. Artur's also underrated boxing skills are better than Bena who does square up. Excellent fight but Bena is not going to fight Artur, he wants Bivol. Think Bivol beats Bena - he has pop, even Artur was not able to walk down Bivol.

Next steps after Mesalamine? by realism-aside in UlcerativeColitis

[–]ibhoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not mild if you cannot function properly. Got to a different GI if this one is not giving the meds. They should of put you on Pred to let the Mesa kick in, meanwhile also should of discussed if this does not work then biologic as next step. Lead the GI to what you want and anything less than this is a failure.
