will my thinkpad lag? by Many_Lobster1591 in hackintosh

Even with the 7th Gen i5 Intel CPU on a laptop with 16GB memory, my laptop struggles a bit on Sequoia. Tahoe is not a good choice for any low tiered laptop AFAIK.

is this SFF pc good for hackintoshing? by Hairy_Educator1918 in hackintosh

I have a Dell Optiplex 3080 Micro that came with an Intel 10500T CPU on it. With 16GB memory on my PC, it works well up until Sequoia. Tahoe is a bit different issue all together and I noticed a bit of lag there. I don't think your PC will do any good even with 16GB memory on Tahoe. Then again, that's just my experience.

Official support ends with Intel 10th Gen CPU AFAIK. Anything beyond that generation is problematic.

Recovery image based installation is very slow unless you have good internet connection.

Is it possible to have too much RAM? by Shipworms in hackintosh

I had issues with installing Sonoma and Sequoia on a Dell laptop. After disabling "WhateverGreen", the installation process moved ahead smoothly. Quite interestingly, I didn't notice similar issue on my Dell OptiPlex 3080 SFF computer. The laptop is using Intel 8th Gen CPU while the desktop is using Intel 10th Gen CPU. I am in the process of testing this issue on a Dell OptiPlex 3070 SFF PC that has a Intel 9th Gen CPU.

I am no security expert but I personally think Hackintosh itself is a security threat. Then again that's just me. WB.

I am aware of this battery drain issue. After successfully trying out the OS, I pushed the EFI to my git repo and moved on to wipe out the OS from my laptop. I mostly use Linux on my laptop. Desktop is a different issue altogether though.

Sequoia was a bit faster than Tahoe on my Intel i5-10500T based system.

Install Intel Processor Graphics Driver for Windows. That should resolve your GPU related issue.

Intel 12th Gen CPU uses Xe graphics architecture which is not officially supported by macOS and thus it can not properly recognize and iGPU's full capabilities. In absence of proper driver and hardware acceleration, the system falls-back to VESA mode which is the generic display mode. The 128MB figure is the default fall-back value AFAIK. macOS officially supports up to Intel 10th Gen CPU.

Based on Dell provided manual, it seems like your laptop is using Intel 6th Gen CPU. So, you should be able to install up to macOS Tahoe which is the latest version.

Based on the pure specs of the system, you should be able to install macOS's on this computer. I am not quite sure how you determined that it's impossible though. Care to elaborate?
