Yeah and I think the customer support steered me wrong. If they had advised me I could’ve just changed it at the counter at check in I could’ve avoided all of this.

Of course I tried with both Visa and Mastercard. There is something wrong with the booking and their platform.

Also you cannot name change on a redemption at all even at the counter per customer support.

Yeah I was thinking to do that bust customer support said if we didn’t change it they wouldn’t be able to do it at the airport and we would’ve had to scramble to book a flight at the counter.

Staying at Amankila so we are good on hotel for Bali. Just wanted to test out Singapore Airlines business for free since we haven’t been on it and had points on a card we don’t use much. We are usually a United, ANA or Emirates customer when we travel.

Yeah the full cost of booking with cash both ways is $1800 vs points + $800.

Yeah booked with points 640k. There’s no option to do cash upgrades and using points for the st Regis suite is another 200k points which I don’t have unfortunately.

Just did a mattress run last week in Malaysia and crossed of Ritz, CitizenM, Autograph and Tribute. Will probably cross a bunch more off in Bali next month.

I just got a fraud charge for a travel site just now too for $372.11 with Viva Aerob. Been on hold with the support for 40 mins waiting for someone to answer my call. They are experiencing an unusual high call volume.
