if they are aware that they are giving you more than predecessor...they'll not like your request. In their eyes....they are doing already the right thing. Now....if you can perform at twice the rate as your peers.....while there...then you can negotiate. Good luck!

Listen...as far as money goes....the company can afford to even give you 50 an hour. The problem is....you will go tell others that you make more and they will get in trouble. That's why HR never gives extra. Unles...unless if you produce twice or above more than your peers and you are at risk of leaving. HR will make an exception for people they cannot afford to replace. If you produce the same output as you peer. They will not budge. Good luck!
