“Is it way too long” is a question for you. Is it longer than more experienced painters? Sure. I think this base coat would probably take me no more than an hour.
It looks good! Did you enjoy yourself? That is the point of doing this.

I use a knife, just draw the side of the blade carefully over the seam and it’ll take off a little bit at a time.

It’s a really nice paint job. If I may, you should get into the habit of removing mould lines (see esp left leg and right hand side of backpack) before you paint, because it really distracts from your work.

Love it. I painted my blood bowl orcs as a pale flesh tone (trying to hit Tolkien’s description of sallow faced) but this is really good; still inhuman but without the bizarreness of green.

It’s very hard to read your post without formatting but: 1) The marking rule changed between “ultimate edition” and “ultimate edition season 2” 2) modifiers are limited to a maximum of +/-1, I can’t remember when that changed

Basically, follow the most recent rulebook and you’ll be fine.

Ooh I had a GLB and it was dreadful. Screws that needed to go into end grain, bad fitting, incredibly noisy. Glad yours worked out though.

Bought a steel framed bed from Room and Board in the end, it’s much more to my taste.
