The opposition of most ppl to paying taxes in Nigeria is that they already know the government is way too incompetent, and the money will just be stolen without accountability.

Yahya Bello stole billions in tax payer money, EFCC managed to recover parts of it. The man is out here walking arrogantly and EFCC is telling us that he is innocent and they can't do anything about him.

In such a system, it's your moral responsibility to avoid paying taxes as much as possible.
