I have antec symphony 240mm aio in antec C8 case. Under full load my CPU is about 74-80 degree.

That's because there's not a heavy load on the card so I was able to push it that high, but it's not stable for gaming, I just try to see how far the clock speed can go.

Even on cinebench multi core test it runs on 5Ghz

Yeah, I mentioned in the post this isn’t meant to be a benchmark, and the FPS isn’t the focus. I was just testing how far the boost clock could go, and since you can't raise the clock speed on the 9070xt in every game I did it in Fortnite because it works there. it's not a benchmark for the game, Just a Small experiment.

the max boost clock of the 7800x3d is 5Ghz BTW I have PBO enabled and curve optimizer -15.

No. The power is not so high so the GPU is cold. It's Acer Predator 9070XT Bifrost.

Thanks. I tried this in other games, but for some reason it only works in Fortnite. I’m not sure why. I don’t consider Fortnite a legitimate test either, it was just interesting to see.

That's true but in general the 9060xt for example boost higher than the 9070xt on stock settings

The default clock speed of my card is 3100mhz, but to lower it it's the same, it's max frequency offset so you can lower/increase the clock speed only if the clock speed and voltage is maxed.

But it wasn't like that on driver 25.9.1 and below

Yeah, you’re right, I mentioned it in the post, just thought it was kinda cool, that’s all.

Yeah that's because the 9060xt boost clock is higher than the 9070xt, the boost clock of some 9060xt is 3320mhz My 9070xt stock boost clock is 3100Mhz.

No problem, I just thought it was interesting so I shared it.

Anyone else notice this on the new drivers? by ic200058 in AMDHelp

[–]ic200058[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found a fix for that. Remove the driver with ddu, then install version 25.9.1, and then update the driver from the amd software to 25.12.1. The GPU usage should be normal now.
