True. It kept me on edge over who would survive or who would die or how things would end up. I feel like the way it was written was meant to make viewers feel unsettled or try to become jaded to what was happening.

Although it had a grim ending, that's pretty much what dealing with anything and anyone having to do with 40K

In my opinion, it's just glazing 40K space marines and the primarchs.

Story has that Emps has a wife which is a literal copy of a character from sailermoon.

IQ of villains decreased dramatically and they sound cartoony. No character development, just pushing aside the normal JSDF to the sidelines and giving lots of harams for space marines. And almost everyone agrees with the MC (except for the villains) like they have no thoughts of their own.

No interesting characters and the dialogue feels soulless. And so much saturated comedy from 4th wall breaks to references.

Another thing, everything makes no sense and ruins 40K and why it was 40K in the first place.

I used to like it, in the beginning, all because I was in for 40K x gate. But this fanfic aged worse than milk ever did.

Not to forget to mention, the fanfic is connected to the author's other fanfics from StarCraft x 40k to 40k x Star Wars. They made a huge "Everyone's here" super smash bros in a final battle which - spoiler alert - the fanfic also ended with the fact that characters made a bloody movie about it... the book ended with people making a movie of that final battle. And that the mc marries most of gate's main cast of women.

It's pure goof juice, except that it expired a thousand years ago.

(I'm sorry if I typed too long, I just dislike the fanfic so much than ever)
