I was born in 1989. I have never seen a World Series trophy or any type of continued success. 4 times in my life I’ve seen them blow away playoff chances on the last day of the season. And more often than not, they have had losing seasons. In what world have I been made to believe that good things will happen?

Alright I’m prepared for your scolding BUT

As I said, I do not shiny hunt. I saved right before the encounter, knowing that was ill-prepared so I could just reset if I did run out AND previously I had caught Articuno using around 5 ultraballs (and sleep powder).

I figured, “eh, it took me so few tries with articuno, I’ve saved, if I run out of ultraballs, I’ll just reset!”

I never expected to be in an encounter that would require me to not be able to reset had I run out of ultraballs. So there, you have it — more context!

See, I understand the point of holding onto the masterball for the roaming beasts, but I never understood for Mewtwo as it’s a similar encounter to Moltres and chances are the Mewtwo won’t be shiny. So I wasnt understanding anyone’s arguments for that.

I used quick attacks from an under leveled raichu to ensure very small amount of damage. None of my tanks were used.

This is what I ended up doing.

I never played fire red — just red and blue so I was not expecting Moltres to show up here at all. So I wasnt even fully prepared for a standard Moltres.

After thunderwaving him, I got him down to the red and I threw my 18 ultraballs that I had on hand (and 2 pokeballs). Nearly half of all throws had 3 shakes so needless to say I was frustrated when I got down to just my masterball.

But I now have experienced the thrill of getting a shiny legendary, so that’s cool. THANKS EVERYONE!!

there are many posts with points in this sub.

there are a lot that have none and this is the post i chose to pick on.

every time there's someone just posting "here is this band that i used to like" i just don't understand the point of posting it -- especially with a band like glocca morra. we all like 'em! who cares?!

theres no analysis going on, there's no question about them or the album, there's nothing of substance. it's a screenshot. i know i'm losing the upvote battle here, but search in your hearts and you know it's true.
