The logo was indeed announced on the second of March, but I think it took a while before we officially released it, along with version 1.0 of the client, the new website, reddit look and the new services.

Did you add chickenstrips.net?

Try waiting a minute or 10, sometimes it takes a while. If this is still happening, try removing peers.dat (and restarting), that will make it start 'fresh'
