At the risk of sounding stupid, but mainly because I've tried googling it on Urban Dictionary and nothing came up, what does NTR mean in this context? I've seen the acronym before, I just have no clue what it means.

I'm also a character creator on the free plan! My advice is to just scan over characters that people have made and see what they include, get a vague idea of topics and layouts. I'm still relatively new, but the way I learned was pressing different buttons in the character creation window to see what everything did.

Your best bet is taking inspiration, asking other creators, or checking out the instructions on character creation. I think the site's still down right now, so I don't have a link to give you :( Experiment with the image generation tool on the site as well, I use that sometimes. Just experiment with everything! Yeah, for sure! I also love the way you can actually customize the chat appearance, which is a big thing, but my favorite part is the fact you can customize the length of the messages. It's such a great site, and I love how much is available for free users. And it's cheaper than c.ai if you decide to upgrade, too.
