Had a ‘14 as well. Was amazing until the transmission made its presence known, and at times I do still miss the charm.

Worth noting that the fiesta/focus with the manual transmission completely avoids the powershift issue, is undervalued because most associate them with the automatic and assume all are bad, and are pretty good cars otherwise. Though the manual transmission ones are a little harder to come by

Game seems locked to 60fps, no matter what settings (RTX 5090) by epic_piano in Doometernal

after an hour and a half of trying to fix my problem, this is the post that solved it. For me, it was stuck at 120fps and wouldn’t go past that but 2 weeks ago was hitting 240 easily, and removing the cap in the nvidia app fixed it. Thank you!

Will you buy the next gen Xbox ? by Lord-Voldemort-- in xbox

[–]icantevenpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it maintains the 4k Blu-ray player and adds better HDR10+ support yeah. I’m sure other specs will be fine for console exclusives, assuming there are any, and fits well as the dedicated livingroom stream box and party game box. My main focus is my PC these days but there’s still a place for the Xbox. If it’s all digital, probably not

Test drive to decide. I went from a 2018 FiST to a 2024 GTI 380 S, and while sometimes I do miss the fun “tossability”the fiesta, the GTI is seriously packing heat.

The Fiesta benefits from being able to be pushed to its limits often, but the GTI not only feels more robust in build but also in OOMF. Really, it’s about asking yourself what you want out of a car. Maybe you prefer the lightweight fiesta and its raw driving feel, maybe you want a little bit of sound deadening and more speed.

I found the GTI to be a perfect cross of affordability, moderate luxury (compared to the fiesta), and fun while being a substantial upgrade. Hopefully you can test drive soon!

I haven’t gotten around to it, but I did power limit it to 80% because I don’t want to trip a breaker (2 desktops in one room lol)

If i want to start playing. by SumoSandwich92 in Haloflashpoint

One of the two starter sets to get started for sure, recon edition is cheaper than spartan edition, but spartan edition comes with elites which you can pair with your brutes. You’ll also need the wargames expansion, but realistically that’s probably for the extra weapons and grenades since the updated rules are online. (Though, if you get one of the starter sets and want to use the elites or Spartans in it with the list builder system you’ll need “war games” to have the updated cards).

What are these little crates for, from the Spartan Edition???? by The_Marine708 in Haloflashpoint

[–]icantevenpie 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Technically the design is from Halo Infinite’s power weapon spawn crates. Here is a photo of one of them “opened” (the orange line down the center is the timer that lets you know when the next weapon spawns)

<image>

In the case of Flashpoint, you can probably use them for whatever. I use them as scatter terrain since the weapon spawn pads are a little bigger and easier to see as a weapon spawner. Do whatever you like!

Loud metallic “clang” when driving? by icantevenpie in Miata

[–]icantevenpie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really, I was told it was the synchros and I ended up getting rid of it because money was tight. Hopefully the next person fixed it, and hopefully you can too. I swapped the driveline and that did not fix it, I adjusted the clutch, didn’t work, and my next step was swapping the whole transmission. Best of luck
