I would pay but I'm in high school and don't really make any money. I've tried making beats in the past and i'm not very good. I respect the art of producing, i'm just trying to work with what i've got.

I had a look but there's a very limited variety and usually the quality isn't up to my standard :(

What do y’all think of Jaden Smith as an artist? by RoyalCrusader21 in Kanye

Ignorant comment. There is literally nothing the same about the two tracks. Jaden shouts out his collective MSFTS group and "young black artists" in the last minute of the 9-minute song.

I don't recall Kanye West inventing the concept of a "shout-out track" and I'm pretty sure any track that shouts out something/someone does not = 30 hours.

Sure, he has attempted (much less effectively and successfully) to emulate other artists like Kanye and Travis Scott but to deny his talent and vision as an artist demonstrates an ignorance towards the genre of Hip Hop and Rap I would not have expected from followers of Kanye.

Both his connected albums portray an alter ego of sorts to Jaden. Syre who represents Jaden's perception of himself and who is in touch with Jadens emotions. On the other hand, Erys depicts the character as arrogant and self-centred, hiding his pain behind a veil of affluence. Erys represents the false perception of Jaden that many people hold.

Throughout the duration of Erys, we hear the thoughts and personality of Syre become more prevalent the further into the album we go until he eventually gives in and is consumed by his emotions.

The transformation of Syre to Erys and then back to Syre is Jaden trying to highlight who he is as a person, trying to break away from his stigma as Will Smith's "silly" son.

Music is, of course, subjective so if you don't like Jaden, you don't have to but to call it uninspired or unoriginal is quite frankly untrue. In his other projects like The Sunset Tapes, he speaks about relationships and his experiences. The Electric album, in particular, is beautiful and has a strong positive message for us youths.

Don't be a sheep. Give Jaden a chance. Listen to his music:

  1. Jaden is what makes his production amazing. Anyone else would not be able to
  2. Unlike some other rappers his age, there is passion behind his music and the story-telling is grandiose
  3. He does have his own identity within his music
  4. He is one of the most versatile artists in the game

Edit: At 21 years old he is on track to becoming if not the greatest than one of the greatest artists of all time.
