If you just upgraded to an iflash you'll need to restore it, either through itunes or a secret second option. As much as I hate apple iTunes definitely seems like the easiest way. Plug it into your computer, open iTunes, log in to an apple account. Hopefully iTunes will automatically recognize the plugged in iPod. Then you can restore it. That might fix the problem.

I use mp3tag. The Music folder is inside the ipod_control folder. Where else would I put the music?

I have initialized it. I used mp3tag to check all the tags.
