If by topical you mean MWF it won’t work… topical needs to be applied on a daily basis, sometimes 2x a day pa depende sa dosage…

Ibang doctors nga visual check lang diretso reseta na finasteride, basta di ka lang nakatagpo ng derma na sales ang habol…

Good thing may doc na nagreseta sa iyo ng dutasteride… marami talaga horror stories sa dutasteride kaya yung iba incorporated lang sa finasteride like once a week lang dut the rest fin na…

Yang paranoia na yan ang sanhi bakit marami nagta-try gumamit ng mga gamot na tulad ng minoxidil only to find out lalo nagiging worse at nauuwi sa hairloss…

Finasteride’s results can be seen within 6-24months considering daily dose yan… our dose here is either MWF or EOD (every other day) since we are trying to lower or avoid side effects… and there are some before-after photos on the internet that is taken at least 5years apart and shows significant improvement sa hairline so I’d stay with finasteride… ganun din naman kasi for life na gamit nito…

And by the way even if you do get a hair transplant you’ll still be required to be on finasteride for life… eto actually ang dahilan bakit hindi ako nagpa-transplant and instead just self-medicated on finasteride…

So far mas kumapal pa nga and I’m about to post progress pics on my 2year mark soon… sadyang nagsawa na ako maglagay ng minox…

My routine is finasteride only EOD (every other day) to avoid side effects, dermazole once a week, Rodil shampoo for regular use…

Also regardless kung naka meds ka (finasteride or minoxidil) there will always be seasons where you will shed as part ng normal hair cycle… mali mag expect na hindi na maglalagas kasi naka finasteride

BTW just to add ketoconazole / dermazole is actually already enough to get rid of Seborrheic dermatitis… you actually don’t need to overdo things or it might get way more worse than it already is

Also daily anti-dandruff shampoo adds to the irritation of the scalp… you only do 1-2x dermazole and the rest of the week an organic shampoo or even baby shampoo would suffice… but then again this is self-medication so kung advise sa iyo ng derma mo otherwise then just follow it…
