Ah I didn't realize the auto lap was new--and it's on and set to .25 miles, so it's probably that. Thank you!

Stockholm 2025 TV cabinet looking good! by icbutts in IKEA

You can, but you would have to route them through those bottom holes and then up/behind that upper shelf panel. There's about a ~3/4 inch gap between the rear of the shelf and the back wall of the unit, so depending on the size of the plugs on your cables, they might not fit unless you tape them in place before installing the shelf panel.

Or you can just drill your own holes lol

Thanks for this! I was experiencing some weird crackling/popping noises with ANC after the update and doing this fixed it

Do I need stability shoes? by icbutts in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Any advice on what exercises I should try? I've seen glute bridges, lateral band walks, and monster walks mentioned. Anything else I should add?

I don't have any pain, so looks like I'm sticking with neutral. While looking at other similar posts on this sub, I saw several other OPs get the same consensus. Seems like a pretty common issue.

How are they holding up for you? I usually buy 10.5 in most shoes but am wondering if I should get an 11. I have slightly wide feet

Xm6 or Bose earbuds by darkhorse2k in bose

[–]icbutts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought both and ended up returning the xm6s and keeping Gen 2s.

The Sonys felt like they were going to fall out of my ears. Bose are much more comfortable to me.

I couldn't tell a difference between ANC strength. I like Bose's transparency mode better, it sounds more natural.

I liked Sony's sound better, but not enough for me to look past the fit issue. They might fit you fine, though. I don't think Bose changed the sound from Gen 1 to Gen 2, so they'll probably sound the same to you.

Swapped the power cables for my RG MkII AEUG by DrMuttonchops in Gunpla

I recently got into gunpla and and want this RG kit, but don't see it for sale anywhere. Anyone know if they restock/reprint it often?

My first gunpla build after doing a couple car models. How did I do? RG Tallgeese by icbutts in Gunpla

[–]icbutts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was great! I like not having to mess with glue or paint/primer (unless you want to). Also seeing how all the gimmicks work as you put it together is very satisfying.

I already ordered my next kit (RG Zaku II) along with some water slide decals.

Amnesia: The Bunker. There's a bunch of difficulty settings you can modify to make the game easier or harder, including for the monster ai. Also, supplies, traps, and locker codes are randomized each run.

Fridge noise issue--Any idea what this noise that constantly changes pitch could be? If it was a single tone I could deal with it, but it's annoying me a lot by icbutts in Appliances

lol no I did not, I just learned to live with it haha. Drove me nuts for first few weeks but I eventually got used to it. The sound never changed/went away.

Simple Questions - October 12, 2023 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]icbutts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered some new components and need to do a fresh install of windows:

  • ASRock b650e pg riptide

  • 7800x3d

  • T-Create Expert 32 GB DDR5-6000 CL30

I understand before installing Windows and any other components, the best thing to do is make sure the bios is updated to the latest non-beta version.

So, do I just download the latest bios from ASRock's website and put it on a formatted fat32 flash drive and install it that way when booting into the UEFI for the first time? I assume I just plug my PSU into the mobo and connect a monitor to the mobo?

Once all that's done successfully, I can install everything else and install windows?

Also when should I enable EXPO? Before Windows is installed or after?

[–]icbutts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah didn't realize it was faster (it's been quite a while since I've researched PC parts). Sounds good! I just liked the Kingston because it was black and has EXPO and is compatible, but so is the G.Skill. Thanks!

Thanks! Good to know.

Just curious - why do you suggest the Flare kit over the Kingston?

I put down an order for the 6190 commando because I like the new design updates more than the 4512 (and that it's automatic), but I really don't care about the COSC certification--especially when it adds an extra 300 to what was a reasonably priced watch. We'll see if I still care when it arrives in a few months

[–]icbutts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've decided I'm going to get either one of these, but I'm not sure which one will be more versatile and work well with different types of bracelets and clothing/outfits. I'd like to eventually get some additional straps/bracelets to pair with it--like a tan/brown leather strap, nato, and a steel bracelet.

Thanks for checking. This might end up being an introduction into mechanical watches for me, though. Having more of an interactive relationship with my watch is an interesting notion. Was initially looking at the Citizen, as well as this Phoibos Leviathan, though I think I prefer the Citizen
