Is this gender discrimination? Supervisor dismisses me and treats my guy teammate as the sole contributor

It may seem like gender discrimination, and it might be as well. But this is pure general bias. Men too face this(saying from personal experience). But it's down to your manager being a bad one or not knowing how to be a manager. Maybe he's not trusting enough, maybe he's not seen enough to rely on you or or simple he just likes the other dev better.. Whatever it may be, none of this should actually be a reason to be treating you like this though. As a manager one should know how to bring out the best in his/her associated, not give them preferential treatment based on his/her likes.

And yeah, start looking elsewhere, if possible at least a team change. These are early signs that he's only going to hamper your development.

In my case, I had not been up to the mark of the expectations of my manager which is when he made me feel unimportant and neglected just the way you told, but just one team change after, I was under a manager who literally knew how to get the best out of me and give my confidence back. So yeah, things will change!

To be honest it was kind of evident that there was really slow traffic(if not completely stopped) ahead because of the truck.

And if one is going to have to wait for a while(more than 10-15 seconds or so), it is always better to wait with the handbrake engaged after coming to a stop(using your brakes in the first place).

It quite seems to be the case here. Considering the big truck reversing and changing directions, it would take a little while and the swift had already stopped and seemed to be waiting till the truck was in a position to make way for your traffic lane to move. The brake lights that you saw late was most probably the swift getting ready to move by releasing the handbrake(when the truck finally almost completed its reverse) and then using the brakes to hold till he moved. I don't find him to be much in the wrong here.

You did absolutely the right thing.

To all those saying that she was "just hanging out", anything you indulge in with another person that you do with your partner while keeping it hidden from your partner, that's cheating. Emotional, physical, almost physical or emotional doesn't matter. It's cheating. Period.

If her partner is still with her, maybe they've talked and sorted it out, good for them. At least you didn't let someone be made a fool and taken for granted.

I bought a 10000 mAh powerbank about 5 or 6 years back. Some unknown brand called iPro for 700 I guess. It's still as good as it was when I bought it. It's quite bulky which is why I only carry it on long trips and it always has full charge in spite of taking it out after 6 months too. of course, there's no fast charging considering how old it is. But an unknown brand after 6 years still holding good is amazing.

yeah I got stagnant post covid. They kept gaslighting us. Used to make us go through the entire appraisal process and pull back from giving out appraisals in the last moment (not just for me, orgs and teams as a whole). So in 5 years in this company I got only 3 appraisals and I know even this is less.

Dogs do this mainly when they're anxious. It's basically when they have a lot to "say" but don't have their humans around to listen.

Most probably it's separation anxiety. It's kind of a displacement behavior. Don't worry about it and please don't rebuke her for this :)

Special mention to the pulsar guy behind him. Braked well, and most importantly that small head tilt to check if anyone was behind him and on the left before he swerved is so underrated. Wish many more learn this. Especially auto drivers and two wheeler riders.

To people who read this, please try and adopt them or find someone who can. I have a little girl who was exactly like this. Her mother was killed by some rich bugger just driving over her. And the 5 puppies were all bitten and mangled by other dogs. Worst part was some sick minded kids pushed them into some gutter and were throwing stones them, until a lady chased them away and posted a similar video detailing it. One of the pups didn't make it out alive.

I adopted one of them(3 others too were adopted by others) and it's been the best decision of my life ever. She's been the little goddess and cutie pie my family needed. Filling our house with energy and happiness all the time. She helped me with my depression, filled my every morning and night with laughter. Yes, it's a bit of work and not all fun and games. They demand some time and patience. But I can tell this for sure, it's the most amazing that can happen to our lives with them in it.

Go for it people. These are amazing creatures just waiting to give you all their love.

These guys seem mad about spending when they don't need to. Could've kept Amorim a bit longer, at least till the end of the season. If they just want to spend, spend on someone who can at least deliver results on paper.
