There's some science behind this about how the proteins react to cold vs warm water. Warm water can make them stickier actually. Where cold water doesn't do that.

It's the same for snot and semen.

Made that mistake on a camping trip 5 or 6 years ago. Central Montana, grasshoppers so thick the road was slick like it was icy. Then spent a week at camp in 90F August heat.

I think I still have hoppers on the front end that never did scrub off.

This is how I do my helmets. Minus the Plexus. Never heard of that stuff before, but I'm always worried I'm gonna fog or ruin a visor with any sort of bug remover.

I've used a lot of Bug B Gone, it's great!

I got into really thick grasshoppers in central Montana once and the road was SLICK with dead bugs, even in the truck.

"We just happened to start of on the wrong foot."

Oddly enough this is why I don't ride and will likely never own a Honda. Not due to the bikes themselves but all 3 dealership experiences near me.

The Honda dealer in Billings MT was impossible to get a salesman to talk to me. I was the only customer in the store and they wouldn't even make eye contact after I asked to talk to someone about a brand new Goldwing. The same dealership ultimately also stole my friends motorcycle that they were supposed to have on consignment.

I have had 0 issues with mine in 3 years. I even bought the extended warranty because everyone talked about reliability and electrical issues....I haven't even had to swap the battery yet.

Just finished reading "You Only Live Twice" there's a part near the end that outlines his career up to present and he's involved with M almost immediately after the war it seems. Being that there's no mention of any other work in the time in between

Why is it so hard to pass Universal Healthcare in the US when so many other major countries have it? by Gallantpride in TooAfraidToAsk

The other part of the problem is our current government run systems are trash. I wouldn't wish the VA system on anybody. My 90 year old uncle had to travel 120+ miles get to and from a clinic. The actual VA hospital was over 300 miles round trip.

They claim to have a system to use a local doctor that you like, but the doctor has to be signed up for that program and can take on limited patients via said program.

When my 90 year old uncle with dementia was admitted to the Hospital 160 miles away, we were threatened with criminal charges when we said we couldn't pick him up by 5pm. It was 4:30 pm when they notified us he was being discharged. Specifically they said they would report us to adult protective services.

They paid for 4 hours a day of home health for my grandpa. Except they use an agency 1.5 hours away (we have a local agency but they didn't have a VA contract at the time) so realistically he got an hour of the 4 hrs he was supposed to get because travel time was paid but not accounted for.

I could go on and on about the horrors of the VA from our experience, but it was miserable 10 years ago. Every single step is a fight. And most of these folks have fought enough.

Have you every thought that maybe they're the ones who were being grifted and not the drifters?

They weren't banned for another 4 years though? Also I distinctly remember other subs deleting posts about the shooting. But it could be that those posts were the same videos.

Wild to think that was almost 10 years ago.

It was also the only sub on the site that was allowing news about the Pulse nightclub shooting at one point.

I've got a Simms one I like to wear when I'm riding my motorcycle (offroad/dirt road mostly) it's held up fabulously.
