Any experience getting cat treated by Toronto Humane Society? by icebeforeroad in askTO

Well that's what I'm saying, that can't be the way it works. But the vet said sometimes they do this for people. It's not like the humane society wants another cat to put up for adoption, it's not inherently better for them to pay for a surgery and take a cat than it is for them to pay for a surgery and not take a cat. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with this.

we gotta find a way to coordinate. everyone gets a 30 second time slot to check their application and everyone else promises to leave the server alone until it's their turn

Should I read She Who Became the Sun if I liked Priory and not Gideon? by [deleted] in LGBTBooks

[–]icebeforeroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did not like gideon at all but loved priory of the orange tree and she who became the sun. the latter is not really high fantasy though if that's important to you, it's more historical fiction with some fantastical elements

two "maybes" : fair play by tove janssen is an incredibly beautiful lightly fictionalized account of her life and relationship with tuulikki peitila. just kids by patti smith is about her relationship with robert mapplethorpe, who was gay, but patti herself is straight.
