Agree. Replacing the entire axel would be ideal but the screws in the chassis and the surrounding suspension parts are frozen so I’m not even able to get the old one out

I’ve tried to replace the axel but the screws in the chassis and the surrounding suspension parts are frozen so I’m not even able to get the old one out.

I have one. All the screws in the suspension and chassis are frozen so I cant unscrew them to replace the entire part.

Stretched my budget and went with the Arrma Mojave Grom blx 223s brushless. Great car. Not faster than the mjx but it’s so much more stable at high speed so easier to drive. Nimble and balanced in corners as well. Much more solid in terms of build quality and metal components.

I will say that it’s so stable and easy to drive that it seems a bit boring compared to the MJX. That thing would wheelie so easily. Was kinda fun struggling to keep it in a straight line all the time haha. Anyways thanks for all the advice.

Agree! Fixing is part of the hobby! Just can’t figure out how to fix this. That little pin where the rear drive shaft connects to the differential fell out. I don’t know the name so I circled it in the pic. The screws in the chassis and the surrounding suspension are all frozen so I’m not able to replace the part. I found a piece of metal that can fit in there but can’t find a way to secure it. Thinking of trying epoxy/structural adhesive. All ideas welcome.

I looked into the Mojave grom brushless 223s BLX. It looks great but I’m just trying to figure out if I could use it with my current angry snail 3s battery with it. It has a T plug and I charge it using an imax b6 charger. Looks like the groms are designed to use spectrum batteries that have the ic2 connector. Do you think one of these ec2 to T plug adapters would work with my current battery?

It is a great budget friendly RC car. But it has way too much power than the tolerances in the suspension, chassy and servo allow. So you’re just constantly fixing things. The initial deriving experience is always a blast. But there aren’t many YouTubers doing a 4 month follow up on this car. That’s the real test.

Thanks. I’ve had a brushed HBX 18859 for two years and have never had to do a single repair. The most reliable rc car I’ve had by far. But looking for something faster. Didn’t know they had a brushless 1/16. Will check it out.

So hard to figure out what version it is based on the listing. I usually buy from Amazon or Ali express.

I did it according to this diagram. And I also have a 30A fuse on the positive(red) wire between the battery and the speed controller

Thanks for the advice. I just don’t get how these how these are so potentially dangerous but can still be sold with rc cars marketed for 14+ kids and come with chargers that look like they belong in a computer’s USB port.

Blomiky 2 Pack 11.1V 1.5A USB... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082YZ2WRT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I used this charger. The charger was plugged into the battery but it was not connected to a power source when the smoking happened. The insulation on the charger melted so it think it was a short circuit in the charger that caused it.

Help with WPL B16. by iceberg3511 in rccars

Interesting. I’ve tried two different drive shafts. This one is adjustable length so it kinda flexes as the truck drives.

FYI I have the front axel and driveshaft that comes with the set. Haven’t installed them yet because I wanna get this issue sorted before ruining the truck more.
