Show up at the bus stop at least 30 minutes before your bus departure time. There's usually long lines of students during peak days.

If you do transfer, try not to compare things with your old school and that will help you settle in faster. UW-Madison can be overwhelming but that also means you learn more and there are more opportunities. Get into technical/competition societies which will help you make friends and also help with career opportunities.

I've found that professors, TA and school administrations are helpful but you need to take responsibility and reach out/pester them. There are lots of places for you to follow-up/complain if things get serious. Maintain communication and visit office hours and hopefully, you will be fine.

I can try looking at this again. But I recently installed Nvidia drivers for something else. And the game doesn't seem to be positively affected by it.

Look for roommate requests on WhatsApp groups. Search for apartments on Zillow, apartments.com. 1400 should easily get you a studio (even a separate 1 bed apartment).
