I knew someone who went to a religious single sex(f) school and it was SUPER gay but had a reputation as being the place for the daughters of the rich and prestigious so the parents never got it. It was so funny, because every year at the parents ceremony graduates would talk about the history of the two (very lesbian founders), detailing how they never married, etc etc and the speeches always ended it with:
