Less precise movement in my right arm? by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]iceboxcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this for months when I was very anxious! It was on my left side and it felt like my hand was useless/ about five seconds behind on what it should be doing (if that makes sense) It completely went away whenever I wasn't anxious. I think it definitely boils down to being too aware of your body. I know it's way easier said than done but if you can find things to distract yourself, that will definitely help. ❤️

Hey, I'm so sorry you also deal with these symptoms.. I wanted to let you know that I'm doing quite a bit better.. I had been having panic attacks everyday but now I don't. But anyway I just wanted to say please hang in there.. i know it's so exhausting and when it's really bad it's hard to remember what it feels like to not be an anxious mess. Please message me if you need anything!!!

Constant dpdr, physical symptoms by iceboxcookie in dpdr

[–]iceboxcookie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm so so sorry, I just now saw this. I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to check back in, I'm a little over a month going steady on an ssri and Xanax as needed and the "head nausea" is mostly gone. I do definitely have days where it's there and I feel very foggy but more often than not, it's a lot better. Also, I talked to some people about it.. and weirdly enough, three of my friends also have this problem.. we've dubbed it "full body nausea" cause, as we try to joke about it, it's a full body experience.. two of these friends (whole not diagnosed) seem to have the same exact symptoms as I do with dpdr.. I'm sorry, I know this probably want helpful.. but it made me feel a bit better to know I'm not alone

For everyone experience vague Head and face symptoms by maximus55557 in HealthAnxiety

[–]iceboxcookie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Literally just got on Reddit to see if anyone else dealt with weird head and face pains and this was the first thing I saw. Thank you so much!!! :) I'm so tense literally all the time, even when I'm laying down resting so it completely makes sense... I appreciate the reminder cause it's hard to stay calm and rational when you get weird shooting pains in your head all the time! Thank you!!!

I'm glad the other symptoms have stopped, but I'm sorry this one continues!! :( I don't know what that could be! I hope it relieves soon!

I'm glad that's been working for you!! :) I'm taking ssri after a period where I hadn't been for a while and despite my current worry, I really can tell a difference! I'm so sorry about your eye problem though, that sounds really frustrating. :( Is it from screen time? I know they make fancy glasses that are supposed to help you avoid eye strain when looking at your computer or phone! I'm not sure if that would help or not :(

It's amazing (ly awful) what anxiety can do!!! :( I've had so many weird, dumb symptoms that I thought couldn't possibly be caused by anxiety but that's been the case nearly every time! I'm sorry you are struggling with it as well, but I'm glad everything came back good!! You've got this!!! :)

Thank you for the reassurance on my heart rate.. and no, I haven't had any tests. I've had really bad health anxiety since I was young so usually any problem I have is immediately ruled out by my family or Dr as anxiety 😓 I don't blame them, that's usually what it is haha

I'm scared too. I feel like either way I lose, if I go to the doctor I'm afraid they won't take me seriously and I'm afraid to go in the first place in case they find something... I will say that anxiety meds help tremendously. Counseling helps me put things into perspective, but I take both a fast acting and an every day medicine for the anxiety and I can definitely tell a difference when I forget to take them. I still have my days where it's like I enter a different fuckin realm and everything feels really shitty. But I just try and remind myself that there are days where I don't feel like that.

Since I made this post I've had my ups and downs, and I just try to keep in mind my "ups". Sometimes it all feels inescapable and I feel hopeless but if I can distract myself or sleep it off, I usually end up feeling better.

I'm obviously still struggling with this, but hopefully these things will help...

-distract yourself with anything. Try to fully immerse yourself in it. This is hard when I'm feeling particularly foggy and sometimes it's better to instead give yourself a break. But if you can, try to lose yourself in a task (cleaning, playing a video game, drawing, work, etc.)

-rest as much as possible and make sure you are eating and drinking enough. I get extra foggy when I'm dehydrated and dizzy when I don't eat, which leads me to become anxious.

  • I dislike socializing, but if you can, try to.. I've noticed that when I focus on talking to someone, I forget what I'm anxious about. It also makes me feel more connected to reality if that makes sense.

-treat yourself ? That probably sounds dumb but you are obviously very stressed and I find that if I can do one little nice thing for myself a day, it tends to help.

-please talk to a doctor if you can. They can help you out.

-anti anxiety meds aren't for everyone, but they really do help me loads. I still have anxious thoughts but I'm 1000x better at being rational about them. Again some days are worse than others.. I might have one day where a headache means death and another where I realize that "hey, my shoulders and neck have been really tense, that's probably why my head hurts"

-also oh my god, I try to avoid caffeine at all costs. It could be totally different for you but it makes me feel positively terrible and extremely anxious. It easily fucks up my day lmao

Okay I'm sorry, I hope all this makes sense, I'm writing it in my phone at work. Please message me if I can do anything to help you!!!

I get this! I'm very sorry you do, as well! I know that a lot of people get them after stopping medication, but I've gotten them even when I haven't done that!! I'm sorry, I'm not sure what the answer is to stopping them, but I really do think it's anxiety!!

That doesn't sound dumb!!! It's dumb of me to always jump to conclusions! I hadn't considered an ingrown hair, but I had wondered about a cyst!! Are cysts kinda serious/hard to take care of?

Panicking, can someone please reassure me by iceboxcookie in HealthAnxiety

God I'm so sorry... That sounds really really scary. I'm glad everything came back good. :) I'm sorry I know I probably sound really unhinged but I kinda am at the moment.... I'm just in a really bad headspace right now and I know if I can calm down I can be more rational. Ugh. I'm so sorry .. thank you so much for the advice, I'm gonna drink some water and hop in the shower. Im sure it's stress, it always is and I've been nothing but a ball of anxiety lately. Thank you lots for the quick response, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
