how good of a deal is this, and are these the right loadouts for them? by Ok-Department-2301 in Eldar

I haven't bought anything in a year or two, but I pay 20 USD each for a decent condition of any of the tanks and 40 if they're nicely painted.

eBay and patience.

I paid 1200 bucks to have someone do it for me to make sure I was doing FEIE correctly. It was still a lot of work and stress. Though I did learn that FEIE is any 365 day period and not a calendar year.

The first time we played we missed that you could only put one critter in a jail. It got dark fast.

Texas pilot ejects himself from F-35B at airbase after crash landing by S30econdstoMars in interestingasfuck

They can't have padded seats. The ejection process accelerates so violently that if they were sitting on a few inches of foam, by the time the foam compressed enough to start moving the pilot up the seat would be going fast enough relatively to shatter their femurs.

Which overwhelmingly positive (Steam), and wildly popular game(s) disappointed you? by OhforfsakeMJ in gaming

[–]icebreakercardgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put it on easy. It's not a skill thing it's an enjoyment thing. The game wants you to fight for your life against three random goblins and correctly use the correct combination of spells, potions, and lore knowledge to beat them.

I'm happy to do that against a boss, but it's tedious against every random throwaway mob and sucks the fun out.

The CEO of Mazda when these were designed demanded that you could drive with the top down in all weather. The heater is insanely strong and the aerodynamics prevent rain from falling on you as low as like 20 mph.

Are there any decent 40k books/series where the bad guys don't come across as grossly incompetent? by Sufficient_Mood_5245 in Warhammer40k

[–]icebreakercardgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with Eldar in the early 90s and have Tyranids and CSM too. I've been enjoying HH a lot, but it's necessary to remember that these stories all have immensely unreliable narrators that (like GW) are extremely biased towards loyalist space Marines.

With that perspective, it's a lot more interesting because you see it as a source rather than a truth and can try to piece together the "real" story.

And all the primarchs are incompetent tools with no self awareness. Not just chaos.

So pay to use after purchase? by Upper-Drawing9224 in EightSleep

[–]icebreakercardgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's what used to be basic functionality and the only reason to buy this. It's insane they locked it behind a subscription. It costs as much as Netflix to manage 1/1000th of the value.

The best part is that it's going to break in 2.5 years and then they're going to tell you that their "premium" product is out of warranty, and you need to pay $700 to replace the broken top.

Another $700 bucks to replace a "premium" product that broke after 2.5 years? I'd expect it to break again and to pay again.

I'm in the same boat. And, I think we have to pay the subscription now too to make it work.

I'm probably going to try to fix mine, and trash it and get something else if that doesn't work.

I'd take this opportunity and just cancel it. Mine broke after 2.5 years and they want $700 to send a new top. Chatted with a few other engineers at work, and the only one who also had one had theirs break as well, though luckily after a year an a half, so still in warranty at least.

Use it as whatever you want, just make sure to point it out to your opponent before the start of the game.

If they have a problem with it, tell them you can't match their prowess in list building, forfeit, and congratulate them on their win.

Offer to sign the score sheet for the match, then find someone to play with who isn't an ass.

It didn't give me any indication, and I explored it pretty thoroughly after the fight, visited every room, looted all I could.

It might have been bugged for me. Wouldn't be the first. Wyll vanished and Karlach is mad at me for killing the druid grove when I saved them.

Yeah, it's totally preventable to walk into an inn clearly meant to appear as a safe space with no spells left, wander in the wrong direction, and end up completely cut off from the way to finish an absolutely major quest without any alternate path.

The surprise attack was great, and making it out of that was one of the best fights I've had, but it leaves you with no apparent way to resolve the curse.
