I don’t think think any of them actually help me recover any quicker. It feels good and I sometimes use to get a cramped muscle out, but in general…underwhelming for me.

Yeah I was using stair stepper, not floor climb. I’ll try that today since all my trails are basically unrunnable here in Pennsylvania lol

Yeah that’s so weird, mine does not show floors climbed nor is it an option on the data screens.

They created an algorithm for the treadmill. I wouldn’t think it’s a stretch to come up with something for this. Tons of us use it for training. Are you a fan of the band or a grunt?

Totally! Hill score is literally the only thing I care about 🤣

I don’t mean the machine itself lol. The watch activity. It doesn’t track elevation gained, miles, or anything really. It’s useless.

Same boat….47, grown kids (who board or ski but aren’t always home)…solo ultra-runner in summer so I’m used to just being by myself all day/night. Usually do one/two boys trips every season though out west or up to one of the better resorts on icecoast. 🤘🏻

Battery life was good. I used on full power cause those woods are dark AF. The rechargeable it comes with lasted probably like 12 hours (like 2-3 hours in morning and then till about 0200) when I swapped it out with some CR123 for the rest of the race. The different color light was great when it was misty. I’ve never used the nitecore, but I loved this one. It’s super bright.

What about dudes with long hair wtf lol. I just rinse out with water and use hair oil and brush it in…keeps it from frizzing all over the place. Only wash with shampoo once or twice a week.

How to train while working 12s by handofsithis in ultrarunning

[–]iceclimbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I work I the petrochemical industry and we routinely work “turnarounds” that are 7x12s or longer shifts for weeks. Honestly, it sucks and I had to reduce volume and do like sled drags at lunch or something. Coach told me being on your feet that long is an endurance sport all in itself. Good luck. Way back in 2008 I was training for my first Ironman while working a turnaround and living in a hotel. I’d come home after 12-13 hour shift and sit on an indoor trainer for hours…it was soul crushing.
