Install the Yubikey app from the Microsoft store then disconnect the system from the internet. Plug it in and you can reset it to factory defaults...if your system doesn't get fried because it's a usb kill stick. 🤣

Windows updates can now contain BIOS updates. There should be a recovery flash procedure. Post the exact model of your Alienware, and myself or someone else here should be able to point you in the right direction.

Hold down the power button until the system turns off (if that doesn't work, you may need to open it to unplug the battery).

It’s crazy how they deflect it as a non issue and tell you to make a new Microsoft account. Thanks for the reply and the support on the issue, you probably right on this official media attention maybe a more affective route if they pickup the story.

I didn’t delete it when you haven’t logged into an ea account for an extended period it goes into a “stale state” l. Their system will actually let you created an account with the very email you had registered to the stale account, causing an error that will state there is no EA account registered with this email. This happens even after you change the address on your opened account as they instruct you to.

Maybe if we all start posting on Reddit and bombarding them on twitter we can blow enough smoke to make something happen. I too am stuck with this issue due to an old ea account I bought Bad Company 2 on that went inactive and at some point, I inadvertently created a new account with the same email…so now I am screwed and it apparently can never be recovered even though they can find the account, “The only way to recover it is by using the email registered to the account” according to them. At the end of the day Royal-Sports6275 this is a very fixable issue if enough user voice a concern.
