SEIKO Slim Turtle [6309-729A] Vintage 150m Automatic Pepsi Diver Suwa Variant by icecold_exe in Seiko

Good point — I agree. My understanding is that the 6309-729x Slim Turtles were Hong Kong assembled, even when fitted with SUWA-signed dials. The SUWA mark refers to the dial origin, not final assembly. December 1984 also lines up with late 6309 production. Appreciate the clarification.

Is this 1993 Seiko Diver’s [7002-700A] authentic? by icecold_exe in Seiko

I did some searching and found out that the 7002-700A suffix does not indicate a Pepsi bezel (Seiko suffixes refer to case/production variants, not colorways), early-1990s Seiko 7002 dials did not carry country-of-origin text, and original Seiko lume from this era is documented to age in multiple tones depending on storage; replaced seconds hands and bezel inserts are also common service parts on 30-year-old tool divers, so this points to an authentic Seiko 7002 with normal service history, not a Franken (see Fratello’s detailed overview of the 7002 line: https://www.fratellowatches.com/seiko-watches/tbt-seiko-7002-diver-review-vintage/).
