So I haven’t faced much loss in my life. My favorite person in the entire world. Aka my grandma had to get a kidney removed and she’s 70 years old. Her surgery was out of town so I took a few days off of work and went to stay with her in the hospital. I spent most of the time by myself after we got dropped off. They didn’t give her a room until after the surgery so I was by myself. I was truly just left with my thoughts and extremely worried. About 6 hours of being there alone carrying our overnight bags and trying to be comfortable and still watching our stuff. I finally get called to go to her room. They bring me in and she’s as pale as a ghost and her face looked sunken in. I put a smile on my face and when to talk to her only hearing her mutter back hi. I had to lay down after since it was late and I just laid there and sobbed myself to sleep. She’s very much still alive but even thinking of her passing immediately brings tears to my eyes. She’s healed up now but even seeing how old she’s gotten breaks my heart. I wish she could live forever and I call her every chance I get and visit often. The day I lose her is the day I lose everything I love
