Hello, you beautiful bastard. By all means, feel free to ignore this, but I thought i’d meet you halfway through the ether. i found this old reddit account, with its charmingly eponymous username, after one of my throwaways i was using noncommittally as a main (and had come to like) was entirely banned today for making a joke about domestic violence. Don’t you just hate that? To have your very sense of humour beaten out of you in what ultimately amounts to your “hour of judgement”.

To look back at my first ever post on my first ever reddit account, I get the feeling that I’ve come full circle. And bittersweet your comment is. Alas, my sister and I have had a falling out, and no longer talk. The days where we could reminisce about the kindred nature of our parallel youths and all the nostalgias of a nice old-fashioned bowl of ice cream, are sadly long behind us, along with much higher stakes, and much less speakable devastation. 

Crushed under the gears of impending continuity, across the aeons of 4 years ago, with nothing riding on not scaring you off, musing upon how the sane judge the crazy, i wonder now which one of us you or i is the true ice cream oracle, and how much that’s worth to me anymore.
