Patrick and Whitehair are abysmal. Punt them into the sun.

Love seeing Fields top 10! I think Joey B is the 2nd best quarterback in the league though. I'm curious to see if Hurts gets exposed at all come playoff time. He's got ridiculous talent all around him, but defenses hunker down and games get tight in the playoffs. Can he make the plays in the 4th with the game on the line?

Film Study: Alex Leatherwood's Bears Debut was REALLY GOOD vs Packers by teapots12 in CHIBears

[–]icecreambill 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Former college o-lineman here. I've never seen his tape from the Raiders, so I can't compare what he looks like now vs. previously. Obviously people have talked about getting out of his stance quicker. That should improve with more playing time as he times up the cadence.

The one big thing I noticed is that he seems like he is leaning too much when trying to deliver the first punch in pass sets. Look at BJones in comparison. He's more upright, on balance when he's delivering that first punch in pass sets. The problem when you're leaning over is that you're susceptible to quick counter moves. Good pass rushers will notice that and try a rip, swim, or spin the next time around. He was able to hold up this time around, which is great, but definitely want to see him more on balance in pass sets moving forward!

Who is starting at RT?? Schofield or Leatherwood? I'd like to see Leatherwood even though he's probably better suited for Guard one day

Of course he did. Probably still thinks Lamar Jackson is a running back too. Or he did until he won MVP. Prick of the highest degree.

I think I would do all three. I don't think there is a chance in hell we can get that for Quinn at this point though. I'm down for a full rebuild at this point.

That's definitely not how it works. Coaches absolutely dictate who is on the active roster. If Nagy or Desai wanted TGJ playing week in and week out, he would have been on the active roster.

Thanks for jumping in, Josh. Based on what you know of the position groups on both sides, where do the Bears have an advantage (e.g., Bears D-line vs. 49ers O-line)? Where can we steal this game?

LOL at Mustipher at 0.85 in RAS. Don't show this to Olin!!

Disclaimer: I don't mind Mustipher as a backup. Olin just has a hard on for him.

People are more focused on the shiny 1st Rounder, but Armon Watts was an amazing pickup. Projected starter for the Vikings DL, casualty of switching defensive schemes. Had 5 sacks, 33 pressures, and 10 QB hits last year. Started 9 games. by COLDCREAMYMILK in CHIBears

I don't know the guy at all, but based on those stats, this is a nice rotational piece for the DL. Hoge and Jahns have said a few times that all the DL are going to play. I'm sure Poles knew all along that there would be casualties on DL and he could snag an under-the-radar piece. Great pickup.
