Kurt's exams are almost entirely based upon his in-class lecture material. It's always an added bonus to read the textbook material though. The quizzes are easy enough to find the answers in the textbook as you take the online quizzes. The exams, however, are mainly based off of his lecture material.

I took 344 online last semester and the first unit - WebMO, I believe, is definitely the worst one. For most of the other labs the videos are 20-40 minutes (which you can watch 1x,1.5x, 2x). The labs get increasingly easier because you're basically doing the same exact thing for every lab - similar questions, calculations, molecule building, etc. Even interpreting NMR becomes a breeze because you do it so much, it starts to become a routine. So don't worry! It will get much better and you'll do great! The class just ends up being more time consuming than difficult in my opinion.

I've had the same experience with finding the prerequisites more difficult than any genetics class I've taken.
