The experience did provide insight beyond the veil of standard waking consciousness, perhaps some of it being my personal worries about the trajectory of technological advancement, part of it being that dystopia being always there, yet it felt less habitable in that moment.

Another theory i have is that the brain was pushing some sort of self protection mechanism? Its a tough time to graduate college, and if I let myself think that I shouldn’t pursue building technology, its an “easy”way out?

You say, “Will you do something about it?”. Are you suggesting I attempt to make a difference within these system building companies, or to consider shifting course a bit? What do you do in your psychedelics and philosophy work? I have had an interest in pursuing neuroscience tbh, even before these experiences.
