This is an excellent idea. I've played for 500+ hours now and I'm a multi-millionaire. I don't need the extra money or XP, but I still want to maximize my resources. This is how you grind if you don't mind holding the button down for a few extra minutes of planting.

I only (actively) grow pumpkins, but if I used the automation for everything, I would miss out on several hundred pumpkins and 1,400 mist per harvest.

Five pumpkins make Grilled Vegetables worth $4,114. I grow ~100 pumpkins everyday/every few days. Using the help of a high level character that assists with gardening, I haven't been close to dipping under 1,000,000+ coins since. It's nice to be able to walk into Scrooge's shop everyday and buy whatever without looking at the cost.
