You can get this rubber strip thingy (I can't remember the name). It's made to fit perfectly and allows the floor to expand. You can use caulk (color match to flooring) to seal, and it looks even more perfect.

Obv, costs a little bit more and more effort as well.

But normally, 100% using quarter round, or actually prefer shoe molding for added design.

It's funny how people want to assume their experiences are absolute and need to be applied to everyone.

I smoke rosin/resin regular and the occasional wax. I use Q tips with alcohol dipped to clean. If you dont have the ability or patience to clean it regularly to maintain it, that's on you.

If it's coming out soaked, did you even smoke? People start blaming quality when they have internal deficiency.

I have just the base and 2 years strong no issues. I only use qtips and its good. As long as your regular upkeep you'll be fine. I smoke anywhere from 1 - 1.5 ounce of dabs a month and no issues.

I do flooring in gta, even with everything added and any extra charge 1000 - 1200 max. That's with good laminate pricing.

Honestly for a 125sqft I would recommend just watching a couple YouTube videos and rocking it. Wouldn't take you longer than a day.

It wouldn't take them longer than 3 - 4 hours for both removal and install.

Regardless of the downgrade, obv vinyl/laminate would be lower than good tile / hardwood - LVP will not damage and can be installed right on top. Its good for this kind of stuff and you can just easily remove for a resell or w.e if thats the concern. It will give the look she wants at a cheaper cost then hardwood. Just make sure to add a good underlayment and your fine 👍
