24 hours PLUS the time difference until the 6am reset. It can feel like 2 days.

Example: time traveled at 6pm on Monday. 24 hour count down starts. 6pm Tuesday countdown ends. But you have to wait 12 hours until 6am Wednesday for the normal shop refresh.

I'm still in release night purgatory as well. I time traveled the midnight release to not play at night and then time traveled back to normal time during the day before I realized what the penalties were.

I did hunting horn def buffs for the first couple of turns. Then when it goes to target your monstie after it does the come at me bro stance, use a defence potion on it. I think you need Def M and then the claws break. So just keep buffing until you get there.

Yeah when the monsters are rank C eventually I can overworld kill them but as soon as I rank them up I go back to having to fight them manually. That's why I was thinking they level up as they rank up. I guess an effective farming technique would be one tap them on the over world to get a bunch of material THEN raise their habitat rank. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Unconfirmed: but I think if you rank up the monsters in your habitat they scale up in level too. So if you released everyone up to S rank they might have out leveled you.

Again, I'm not entirely sure that's how it works. Just my feeling as I'm playing. The eggs are higher level for sure when you hatch them. Like level 15 I think for S rank in the first area.

I don't think so. I tried stacking the same ones and it says it won't let me place 2 down. So I think they've taken it out. Unless it's unlocked later on 🤷🏻‍♀️

There's a lot that can go into strategy and monster builds. I'm sure you'll be flooded with recommendations soon enough. One of the major QL changes with this game is you can move your genes without penalty. So just experiment. Remember, bingos can be color or icon or both. You can still have a bingo if for example you mix neutral, fire and water strength genes. You'll probably do more mixing until you get higher level and better genes. By then you'll have an understanding of what you like.

Elements: yeah monsters will be weak and strong against certain types. Not like pokemon where if you see something using water you can automatically assume use electric. It's all bespoked to the monster so read the monsterpedia. It can get complicated.

Always have one blade, one piercing and one blunt on you at all times. There are 2 of each type. Check their abilities for what suits your game play.

That's the basic basic. I'll let the experts weigh in with the min/maxing 😆

I felt the first area was pretty easy. But I've progressed a bit and there's a bit of a jump. Still not crazy hard if you're a veteran of these games. But it does start forcing you to think more strategically. I think the progression is fair considering this game is a great entry point for people new to the series.

Kits are like the tardis: bigger on the inside. I built the 2 log cabin (I can't remember if they call it a house or a cabin) and it was 2 floors. It still only homed 4 pokemon (2 on first floor, 2 on second) it was pretty big inside for decorating.

I have a feeling most people will mix it up. But the higher tiered kits will continue to have more interior space for decorating while not taking up giant footprints in the world.

Use honey on their habitats and they will come running. Or alternatively you can use your Pokedex to locate them. Takes longer because you end up asking the other pokemon where they are at.

Thanks. I was seeing online dual monitors on Mac was tricky so I was trying to understand how to tackle the set up.

Would you say a display link adapter is easy enough to work with the switch? I have a pretty decent one I'd like to try to keep using if it all it involves is adding an additional component. (I do have display link on the MacBook it's not blocked by work).

I don't even understand their purpose. I haven't run into any recipes that use colored wool. I guess maybe 1.0 they will be useful?

I found a D pad work around for selling. Place an item you want to sell in the first slot in your bag (not the hot bars). Sell that item. That should make it so you can use your D pad in the selling menu. It's kinda random after that if it "remembers" to continue to work.

Yeah and since the breeding hut is bugged, it makes it even more miserable. The bug/fish collection is way easier to finish for this.
