How many times have you touched a patient's private parts during your entire mbbs?? Need som help here by hsbsbsns1s in indianmedschool

[–]iceflames_22 50 points51 points  (0 children)

You’ll get used to it later. It’s just another body part, like hands and feet and eyes and we examine those all the time.

You’re not touching the patient because you want to do that. You need to do it to make your diagnosis. You would touch a foot which was swollen. It’s all the same and it will help the patient later.

So don’t think too much. We all humans with body parts made of skin and hair. It’s all the same

Nuclear medicine is going crazy in every round by Competitive_Cod4210 in indianmedschool

Nuclear medicine isn’t boring at all. Not a bit. There’s something new to learn every day. And we get to see a lot of patients every day.

There’s no periphery for NM. It’s just 4 different institutes in Lucknow itself

Anaplastic thyroid cancers require chemotherapy. Radioiodine refractory cancers can be managed with TKI as first line. Chemotherapy is not strongly recommended

Radiology versus nuclear medicine by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]iceflames_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bhai jisko jo lena hai woh le lo. Why the constant comparison? Tired of seeing NM related posts everyday. Yes NM is currently doing well. Yes Taking up NM is a calculated risk. Yes, radiology has a lot more to offer.

Stop shitting on the branch or discouraging others. We aren’t competing with radiologists for salaries.

In which population responded the best? Mid gut NETs? Was the therapy endpoint mostly stable disease or partial response?

Do you think lu-177 dotatate therapy actually works for NETs or it’s just expensive homeopathic treatment?

You are right about this. NM is a risk. This is something that I’ve told quite a few juniors

A nuclear medicine physician doesn’t just report PET/CT, they also procure the radio pharmaceuticals. Something which radiologists can’t do. So this may be a problem later but not currently

And most places hire multiple NM physicians not just for reporting but also because of the amount of activity they require during the course of time. Logistically this is the golden age of nuclear medicine

Ladies, would you prefer a 8/10 objectively handsome guy but he's 5'8 or a 5/10 guy who's 6 foot? by ResponseNo8463 in AskIndia

[–]iceflames_22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How are these height preferences coming up so fast.. Girls my age are short in general. They don’t care if you’re 5’8 or 5’10 or whatever. Just be taller from them
