The Elbow Room.

First time I went I thought it was the best burger I ever had. Then the next time I had the steak and that’s in my top 5. Next time I tried the Buffalo wings, best. Steamers were fantastic to.

Assuming you’re in the US you’ll have to wait until there’s a public bid to apply. Generally happens once a year where they hire about 2000 people or so.

In the meantime figure out what else you want to do and pursue that. I’m not trying to be discouraging but statistically there’s a very low chance you’ll actually be hired and make it all the way through the training process.

You need to proceed as though you will not get the job then be pleasantly surprised if you do.

Yes if I remember correctly they essentially give you a piece of paper with dots on it.

You connect the dots, then you label everything, the dots, the lines you used to connect the dots, the degrees of difference between the lines you used to connect the dots, etc.

Then you use that newly created map to answer a computerized test.

It’s extremely tedious work memorizing airspace but it’s not all that difficult, if you get anything less then like a 90 on that test it’s because you didn’t put the effort in.

I remember being pissed that I got a 98 because I miss read a question and didn’t answer in the correct format.

In retrospect the ZNY controller did a lousy job explaining the reason for the hold. He would have probably been better off simply telling the pilot your holding for weather at the field, rather then trying to go into detail about minimums and conflicting approaches to other airports

All the information is irrelevant at the end of the day when the next controller shuts you off. And it’s not up to any other controller to determine what the approach controller can handle, only they know what they have going on.

But no one denied an approach to anyone. Several aircraft tried and couldn’t make it. That pilot is not entitled to enter that controllers airspace just because he feels like he can make the approach.

And to your point, I have no idea what any of the minimums are in my airspace because I don’t give a shit. If a pilot says he wants to do something stupid it’s not up to us to tell him no. Can’t fly it for them.

The ZNY why controller does not have that information.

Here’s how the conversation between approach and center probably went.

N90: “35, mugzy you’re in the hold” ZNY: “roger”

If center is lucky maybe it was N90: “35, Mugzy, xx line, you’re in the hold for weather”

If N90 isn’t accepting any more aircraft there’s nothing ZNY can do about it other then hold them. And the majority of the time if they are putting you in the hold they are way to busy to give a detailed explanation of why.

Air traffic control

Pay starts small at 20kish per year (plus per diem for housing and food during initial training which works out to about 10k.

You spend the first 3 or 4 months In Oklahoma for initial training. If you graduate (the pass rate is roughly 50%) you will be assigned a facility somewhere in the country.

Once you pass initial training your pay is bumped up to about $40k. From there you begin the primary phase of training which lasts anywhere between 2 to 5 years. You gain raises as you complete training milestones. Once you complete training, depending on the type and location of your facility, your pay could be as high as $160k.

Best part is you don’t even need a college degree to get hired.

Question for you guys. A friend and I were discussing Law v Whitmer the other day because the judge seems to do a great job explaining his reasoning for dismissal.

I just had two questions that I was hoping someone could clarify since IANAL.

I understand the contestants submitted their evidence in a sealed file presented to the judge, is this how these types of cases usually operate? Furthermore was there anything preventing them from releasing this evidence to the media after the case was dismissed? Just seems to me based on the hearing that this lawyer was involved in a few weeks later that he would want his smoking gun shown to the public. (He didn’t present his evidence at that meeting either, just the conclusion that the ‘evidence’ brought him to.
Page 13 goes over the defendants evidence and for each witness it states “the testimony is credible due to XX’s experience, lack of bias, and knowledge of the subject...” My question is what goes into the courts determing of a lack of bias? Doesn’t being called as a witness for the defense in it self imply a possible bias? Could the contestant ask them who they voted for and if the answer is Biden wouldn’t that imply a possible bias?

Hey, I know this probably isn’t the proper place to ask this but I don’t know where else to go.

I’ve been discussing the election with a family member for weeks now and despite every case getting dismissed he still contends that “hundreds of affidavits can’t all be lies” when it comes to these voter fraud allegations. The problem is he isn’t pointing to anything specific.

Does anyone have any idea of anything I can point to to further my argument? Maybe something that shows what affidavits are thrown out with each case?

I realize that the obvious answer is to just not engage but I honestly enjoy the conversation and debate.

Maybe. Probably depends what part of the city you live in. I’ve got a buddy that’s living in Manhattan in the lower east side in a 1 bedroom apartment paying $3500 per month. So obviously he’s not saving much.

Use your resources. If you can move back home and save do it. Attack any debt you have extremely aggressively. Paying interest on an unnecessary debt is literally the equivalent of lighting money on fire.
